Anybody here have a M11x R2 ? I just got mine but in-game, the video card shows as the integrated Intel, but out of game, windows says Im using the nvidia (I whitelisted it). My FPS is around 40-55ish with medium settings. I'm assuming eve is supposed to show the nvidia one?

EVE can run on the Intel chip too, try setting EVE to always use the nVidia card in the nVidia driver software. Had the same issue with my ASUS N53SV laptop a while back. It would start EVE on the integrated chip, because that could run the game.
As for what EVE displays in game, that will generally be the Intel I believe, as the integration of the 2 chipsets confuses the software a bit I think (I assume your M11x also uses nVidia Optimus for switching chipsets).

You must be able to choose the graphics adapter from the scrolling menu, if you don't then you should choose "Primary Graphics Adapter: PCIe Port" under your bios and this should be enough. ________________________________________________

Edited by: Othran on 16/03/2011 09:45:42 Turn off the Hybrid Graphics option in the BIOS.
That should force the lappie to always use the NVidia card(s) except when on battery power - assuming its like the M17xR1.
Do note that it'll be using the NVidia card for Windows too, rather than switching back to the integrated graphics for that. This may/may not cause your fan to run louder.
Edit - its only with NVidia cards you have to do this. With the ATI cards there is no option to have Hybrid Graphics when you have an Intel i5/i7 - the ATI drivers just don't work if you enable the graphics built into the cpu. Frankly its worth avoiding ATI graphics in laptops completely as the drivers are ancient and bugridden - and no you can't use latest drivers as the driver version is specific to the firmware written to the ATI cards.
