I just came back to EVE, and was wondering if is it possible to import settings (windows and shortcuts) from one account to another? It is a pain to configure it several times. I did a quick research and just found stuff about transfering settings from one computer to another, but not between different chars on different acounts.
Appreciate an answer. |

Look for a directory with files like this one >> core_char_123456789.dat
That number in there, is your char API User ID number, find the one you want to copy, copy that file, and change the number to the correct API number for the destination char.
I use Windows 7x64, so that file is located in >> C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\d_games_ccp_eve_tranquility\Settings\
No clue where it would be on XP, I dont use it

Thank you so much, this was just what I needed. Also copied the Core_user files, some cofigs are by account instead of character.
Worked just great.

Actually, someone could easily make a third party program to do that, copy character/account settings.
Could be as simple as a .bat file that executes renames and copy function or as complex as a program doing the same + altering the files without having to launch the game first.

would be even simplier if settings were kept in txt or XML file, and not a brain dead i fail when power goes out eve needs to WRITE to it 10 times per minute binary blob ....
