Edited by: Sanic Xaqueter on 13/03/2011 05:25:54 Edited by: Sanic Xaqueter on 13/03/2011 05:24:33 So I have a large Gallente tower, silos, moon harvesting arrays, simple & complex reaction array and an assortment of guns/electronic warfare platforms
- Ive been doing hoards of research and the gap I'm stuck at is their is no reliable up to date website that shows all the moons resources.
I do have a cloaky indy ship scanning moons but it burns up alot of what little time I have to play so I was kinda looking to see if there is a short cut with moons already scouted if anyone knows anything.
My goal is to make a profitable complex reaction. Ive seen many spread sheets but I'm not sure what does and does not make a profit vs pos fuel cost, since I will be buying it.
Also what areas should I avoid putting up a POS? I know null sec without being in that alliance is a no go, but I dont want to put it up in an area with a high pirate/outlaw population either.
Noob questions: As far as the production chain, moongoo will barley cover fuel cost to run, simple reactions will trickle in money, and complex is where the real money is right? If that's true then it shouldn't matter what moongoo I'm mining since one would import simple reactions and make them into complex to sell right? or would we be wanting to make at least one part of the simple reactions that is needed for the complex?
What are Biochemical Reactor Array and Polymer Reactor Array used for?
How many hours does it take for Intensive Refining Array & Medium Intensive Refining Array to finish refining?

as for moon scanning, yeah it is a very time consuming process. Depending on the region you should be able to find maps of moon resources from various places on the internet, but you always should manually scan out the moons you're about to use before dropping a tower down.
Lastly, if you don't crunch the numbers from start to finish to decide if your setup is profitable, you're going to lose a lot of money. EC-P8R... You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. |

http://evemaps.dotlan.net/ Dotlan is yourt friend, many systems were scanned for moon mining.
Quote: What are Biochemical Reactor Array and Polymer Reactor Array used for?
Biochemical reactors are used for combat boosters, reprocessing Myko/Cyto gazes. Polymer reactor is for T3 components, reprocessing C-xx gazes.

3 hours for 200k ore refining in the intensive.

Ive seen dotlan but it seems all the moon info is wrong and incomplete from my in game scans.

and you are hard-capped at 75% yield. Just refine in an NPC station or outpost.

OK, skip the mining aspect for now. You'll probably do better to buy the simple reaction outputs and set up a POS to to the simple -> complex reactions. This can only be done (IIRC) in 0.4 and below.
Moongoo is only available in 0.3 and below... I'm not sure of any quiet 0.3 systems offhand. You'll need to do your research here, get to know people, etc.

Usually, but you'll have to research the market.
Quote:
1. What are Biochemical Reactor Array and Polymer Reactor Array used for?
2. How many hours does it take for Intensive Refining Array & Medium Intensive Refining Array to finish refining?
3. Is their any chart anywhere that has a good break down of all the materials that go into making a complex reaction?
4. Is their any moons that provide 2-3 raw materials that you can make a simple reaction from all in one pos or are most of those moons taken in low sec?
5. Is it greatly profitable to have a large pos with a complex reactor that I am buying all the pos fuel with no PI support, and all the simple reaction needed to make the complex?
1. This was answered somewhere above 2. This was answered as well... however, just don't do it. You're capped at 75% yield. Just use an NPC station. 3. Probably somewhere, I don't have one off-hand atm. 4. Probably "yes", to both questions actually. Your best bet is to find a crap moon (ie with nothing available) and hope no one wants to go POS bashing for lulz. 5. Depends on the reaction, and markets, etc.

When I make a reaction in my pos reactor, is it giving me a for example 1 unit crystaline carbonie reaction or is it giving me 10,000 units of crystaline carbonie.
How does one make the reaction into the parts?
is it more profitable to sell the reaction or the units it produces?

Depends on the reaction blueprint. There is one reaction cycle per hour.

BPO.

Both can be. It can changde daily or hourly, so you need to do that math.
You can use the free OpenOffice Calc if you need a spreadsheet program.

I guess where I confused was the bpo part I didn't know you needed that, I was think the bpo is what the reactors produce lol

So far out of all the moons Ive scanned (120+ now) Ive seen these and these only resources:
Atmospheric Gases Evaporite Deposits Hydrocarbons Silicates Cobalt
I checked all the advanced reactions and the closest one I can make from that is crystalline carbide. Since I'm still missing Cadmium I would have to import lowering my weekly income and adding more logistics. Including the cost of fuel since I will be buying it...Im seeing such a little profit its not even worth my time I would make more just strait running lvl 4 in my raven...
I'm kinda frustrated since with the math iIm doing if I were to import all the the simple reactions to change to complex even still the profits is very low. Can someone introduce me to some knowledge here to cure my frustration?
Seems like all the complex reactions requires at least 1 rare moon mineral that I'm sure 99.9% have a pos with super heavy defense on that moon already setup.
