ccp could make it that the unlearn of a skill takes as long as the learn does before!
so people can choose if they unlearn a level of a skill for example 3 days or train another skill in these 3 days!
If this was implemented, no one would do it in the history of ever. Why even waste dev time?

As in life, when you learn a skill it is yours. You've trained to get it, you've sweated blood and tears, shouted at the wife, slapped the kids and finally you become qualified at whatever it was you trained as.
If you then want to train or learn something else then so be it, but you can hardly unlearn or reclaim your lost youth from all that hard earned work now can you?

but in a time where cloning is already possible, there should be a technology that allows to delete different areas of the brain where something is stored i previously learned!
as the asgards have done with jack o'neill after he put his head in a archive of knowledge device
eve is a sandbox game! let ppl decide what they want! learn a new skill or unlearn a previous one!
btw sry for my english, since i left school i have unlearned it to lvl2 ;) |

no.
if you could just move SP around then planning would be pointless and there would be a complete lack of risk/reward. people would just stuff whatever large lvl5 skill in their queue they could, so they didn't have to bother keeping on top of it, then move SP to whatever they want to play that day.....
plus, part of a pvp is knowing what you;re enemy is capable of. if one day he fights in a caldari ship and the next amarr it would be impossible to strategize against him... making it less like a chess game and more like a random luck game...

i said before... not simply change the sp from one to other.. unlearn should takes just as long learn does before!
no strategy would be changed because u cant sure what your target can/cannot fly already today! |

If unlearn was going to be an option (which would take the same ammount of time as it took to learn) then what would be the point? Just learn the new skill...

Everyone got there learning skills nuked because CCP said it was a mistake.
Fine it is done, now the "I want it now" crowd wants a do over.
No, just stop, play the ****ing game and deal with the choices you made.

It would be nice but it would never ever happen because it would remove the incentive to keep playing the game for most people since you'd be able to reallocate the points to any skills you want. People without incentive will stop playing and the game will collapse due to insufficient critical player mass. CCP will never do this.

for some people this may happen but being able to add/remove points would get ride of the station spinning all together and long log offs for older character. most if not all are guilty of this while waiting for a skill to ding to fit t2 mods or fly a certain ship ect. While training for a freighter i didnt log in for over 2 weeks but CCP still have their money in the end so it may not matter to them but it does to me. Why didnt i log in and do something you ask? i had no real reason to.
the overly long time based skill system is the reason they dont have more subs and every one knows this. the game itself is ****ing solid.

I just want to point out that nothing in EvE is yours. Everything in EvE belongs to CCP. That includes the skillpoints on each character on the account you rent from CCP.

I aree to an extent.
When CCP makes major changes to the game that directly affect the usefulness of spent skillpoints (missile nerf type changes) they could reallocate skill points. I probably spent a few hundred dollars of subscription time on missile skills which were pretty much useless after that change.
Not really a major issue for me since I went pure gallente but I have millions of sp which I paid for that do nothing at all.
Id be happy just being able to delete useless sp to clean up my skill tree.

maybe allow to reapply the partially used SP but when you get the new level it's gone.
also maybe allow to un-learn certain amount of skills per year, maybe 2 mil SP totally, but those SP should not immediately reapply, but just double the learning speed for certain period of time until the added amount would use up the un-learned SP.

Not really true. EULA does not override the reasonable expectations of a customer for a service he or she pays for.
If you paid 4000 dollars for in game isk via plex, and CCP accidentally deleted it and refused to restore it, do you really think if you could prove they took the money and deleted the isk that they couldn't and wouldn't be ordered to refund the money or restore the isk?
