I've been watching traffic patterns in Gonditsa for the last three days. Statistics seem to indicate that the hour just after DT is about 5 times more dangerous than the hour before.
I'm not even suggesting what you should do, but if I were going to try a run through there, I would do it before DT rather than after. Better yet, the hours between 03 and 08 Eve are pretty dead.
Gonditsa Griefer Status Reports are now available at some times, on request, in the 'N Gonditsa Intel' chat channel. I can't vouch for their accuracy unless I'm the one that makes them, though.

I posted this in the recruiting thread, and I realize now that the way I did it didn't make it very visible.
The New Eden Revitalization Experiment was canceled. I will no longer provide intel reports from Gonditsa.
The reason is the almost total lack of interest showed by the players the experiment was intended to help. After a week we had only recruited two players and received one request for a status report. That just didn't justify the amount of time I was putting into it.
A quick glance seemed to indicate that the number of ship kills in system dropped during the week of the experiment, but they have bounced back now. W/E
As I said in the last post in the recruiting thread, I think this is an idea that can work, and I would like to see someone with more time and assets take it over, if only as a proof of concept.
The bottom line is that people deserve the environment they live in. The game isn't killing your ships. The griefers aren't killing your ships. Your apathy is killing your ships.

I have serious problems as seeing low sec piracy as "griefing". Suicide ganking etc I can understand people call griefing but in an area of the game where non-consenual pvp is intended behaviour I have no understanding what so ever for the use of the word "griefing", "griefer" etc.
People entering should understand that pvp may ensue at any second (or should at least) so I don't really see the point of the service. One week is too short to draw any conclusions.

Sigh. New Eden is an alternative civilization in a microcosm. People like you who would have no problem with being shot to death on the way to the supermarket in real life are doing your part to make sure that this new opportunity for mankind to get things right is going to be another painful failure.
A week is all I had to spare.
Thank you for your input.

Ummm, actually I am able to seperate a game from real life. Which is why did *not* take the shortest path from hotell, through low-income area to supermarket in Bogota, Colombia - but took a cab instead. Don't feel like getting mugged in RL - internet space pixels on the other hand ...

Nice simile, and nice evasion of the issue. But I've talked to a few other players about this, and I think that some of the CCP developers will secretly agree with us, that this isn't just a slightly more complicated version of Castle Wolfenstein.

There is no part of the Eve Universe where non-consensual PvP is mandatory. At least in the little time I've spent in low and 0 sec, not even the little voices in my head tried to force me to attack anyone.
There are those who say, "I had to kill him before he attacked me." That kind of falls apart when the target is a ship that can't be armed. That's where the 'spy' defense for aggression comes in.
There always seems to be an excuse, but I think the real reason for most attacks is a lot simpler than any of the excuses. I also believe that the agreed upon definition of 'griefer' in the game is someone who does harm to other players for no good reason. People who would be considered 'chaotic evil' in the old D&D game.
There are people who enter low/no sec for frivolous reasons but I think that people should consider the idea that there are non-frivolous reasons for non-PvPers to go into the slums.
A quick example, close to home, is a miner who is having trouble making ends meet in a high sec area surrounded by low/no sec, because the local market is controlled. There are two options that I know of: 1. Mine until you go broke, 2. try to sneak out some of the best stuff.
One of the two areas where I have run into this problem is the Solitude region. There are two systems that access other regions, which suggests two access routes, with variations. (Or you could use a jump freighter, if you had one.)
The two most commonly used routes are one that requires 7 jumps in null sec. The other requires something like 17 low sec jumps.
Oh, and the issue is that, if this group were given the task of civilizing the New Eden area, as our ancestors attempted to civilize the Earth, there would be no game. New Eden would be a region of cave dwellers without internet spaceships.

Traffic through the Bherdasopt gate usually comes and goes in waves, but it's been seeing a steady decline since we moved there in early January. The first few weeks where some glorious days of cracking space pinatas, but as the locals grow accustomed to our presence and start taking other routes, traffic drops.
But other than being evil pirate griefers, we're fairly reasonable people. I'm sure one of our directors would be more than willing to blue your hauler alt, or whatever it is that you're so insistant on bringing through Gonditsa for a... small fee? :)
With love, a Gonditsa Pirate.

This man is lying! I was in his intel channel to get through the Gonditsa gate with my hauler, and when he told me it was clear, I got attacked by the pirates! Don't trust Estrelita!!!
He's no doubt some pirate alt trying to get information on ships coming to Gonditsa so he can tell the pirates when to camp for traffic! Don't make the mistake I made and actually trust his intel!

Oh really? I've never seen you or heard of you before. As I said, we only got one status request during that week, and it wasn't from you. You called me a liar . . . I'm returning the favor.

Estrelita, are you upset that I exposed you as an alt spy? I was in that channel and you know it! I even have chat logs where you told me the gate was clear! Now stop lying and trying to trick these people!

I don't know what your problem is, but you could settle this by posting the log.
But to give you the benefit of the doubt, did you read the channel MOTD with instructions? Did you have the timestamp toggled on so you could tell how old the report was? Especially did you read the part of the MOTD where it says that we are not responsible for red spikes or hot drops? Did you realize that the reports were ordinarily made from inside the Aliastra station where the locals hang out, and not from the gates? Did you realize that the reports usually consisted of the number of reds in system and in station, and you were expected to do the math? Did you know that relative 'red'ness was based on security status, but that a number of people with positive security statuses parked at Aliastra just like it was home? Are you aware that we have spent about 10 minutes in that channel since before the first post in this thread?
That experiment didn't work because of lack of requests for status. You are either the unluckiest person in the world, in which case I sympathize . . . from a distance, or you're a troll.

Why would I troll you? What possible motivation could I have to do that when there are so many idiots on the forums, screaming to be mocked and flamed?! I've not trolled them, so why would I start here? My loss was genuine, and I'll post the chat log when I get home from work...
I must admit Estrelita, whoever your main 'pirate' is, you guys are clever at luring people to their deaths! Whether people believe me or not, I don't care. I've issued the warning that you can't be trusted, and so their blood is not on my hands!
