Uhm... Did miss something or did CCP give a reason why they think it is allright for them to charge Ç 10,= more on 60 days of gametime as oposed to buying a GTC say though shattered crystals which offer them for $ 34.99... CCP sells 2x 30-day plex for Ç 34.99... Or did the wizards from Icelandski forget that the exchange rate is not 1:1???

He's saying that buying plex from the eveonline site costs more than buying a GTC from say, shattered crystal.
Simple solution is to buy from shattered crystal and such

Yes, you missed something. EU rules on imports/exports/taxes and such. The VAT, to be more precise. Granted, that still means only around 44-45 USD instead of 35 for all members of the EU, which is not quite 35 EUR since the current exchange rate is 1.4 USD/EUR (so you now have ~49 USD = 35 EUR), but instead of having an ever-changing subscription price, pretty much ANY company that sells entertainment or electronics will price their product at an identical number but in EUR for the EU instead of USD like for everywhere else. So, yeah, that's what you missed. _

Why don't you just put USD on paypal and buy a GTC through a US website for USD? Doesn't this avoid VAT completely, as US websites aren't obligated to collect it?

Actually, I think that technically they should be collecting VAT, but none of them do, AFAIK, because the negative legal ramifications are pretty much negligible for them. Besides, paying for a 6mo subscription plan in EUR (~71.70 EUR) still barely beats 3x GTC in USD (~=75 EUR), and the 12mo plan (131.40 EUR) clearly beats 6x GTC (~=150 EUR). _

Good point - I guess this only worked when the USD was weaker against the EUR.
