"Delta" is the mathematical term to describe the variance between to numbers.
If I had -ú100 last week and have -ú50 now, the Delta is -ú50 (is it's a -ú50 difference). |

never before have i had to work so hard to get a thread closed. usually i put in a report and ask them to close it and they do with a "locked at posters request" message. wonder why not now? maybe my account is flagged and some mods think they're doing something useful based on my post about burning an alt. my real purpose was keep evewho in teh public eye. it seems to have worked.

"Delta" is a change in member count + means they gained memebrs, - means they lost members

delicious, sir, delicious. it solves one of evewho's problems with the reborn characters. I wonder if it will do the same for reborn corps?

Just to confirm, Ive asked Squizz this and he confirmed "Delta is just the increase or decrease of pilots over the last seven days. It's a good number to see how heavily recruiting (or failure cascading) a corp/alli has been doing over the last week."

So for now it's only possible to track characters that are reborn or have had their name changed.

So for now it's only possible to track characters that are reborn or have had their name changed. /c your site does have the ability. i'd give you an example to look up, but i don't want to telegraph my intentions. basically, if you look someone up, check their corp history, and select a corp with a name that has been previously used, it offers you a selection of all of the corps that have ever had the name. Then when you check its list, you'll see everyone who was in the corp. In evewho, when you click on the corp name that has been used before, it takes you automatically to the most recent one. It is impossible to find the other players who were part of the older corp, unless you happen to know who they were or can compare join/creatin dates etc. It will not show you how all of the corps that have had the name.
That's why yours is better! Much better! You've already solved 4 problem lookups I was having. I could not be happier. Srsly. This is better than my first kill, better than my first billion, better than... well, better than operating on so little information all that time ago. |

Yeah that works, however the current/former tabs under corp info probably will make it harder for you. I'll have to put that to the list to make that work properly bc I don't think it does right now.

/c If you're taking requests, one thing evewho has that you don't is the ability to list corp members by join and/or leave dates. I've found it tremendously useful for identifying alt characters who join and/or leave at or close to the same time. I'm also not clar on whether "former members" also lists the current members, which if it didn't would mean you'd want to merge into a single list. I'm doing it manually now by cross reffing with evewho. I'd prefer to give the traffic to you (and avoid those "stop hammering the website" warnings from evewho).
edit: if i were going to dream big, really big, I would love to have smoe sort of cross reference tool that shows me a list of people who have been in more than one corp together. Or a way to build composite lists, like i feed in 3 names and it shows me, within X number of degrees of separation, how those names are linked to each other. |

Or a way to build composite lists, like i feed in 3 names and it shows me, within X number of degrees of separation, how those names are linked to each other. Yeah it's only sorted by name atm (that's because I pretty much started and finished the current/former section just yesterday lol)
As for the cross reference, I don't think I will put that in, at least not right away, why you ask, because I see eveboard (and its global part) as a way of keeping track of pilots that we have or have had, not a "let's find the spies or wartargets" tool, while I know it can be used for that. So I see your request but it's not really in line with my intentions of the board and ranks etc hence I don't put such a request on top of the priority list.
As for former list, it will not show a pilot that is currently in the corp, even if he/she has left/joined at a previous time - hence so former is only showing pilots that have been in the corp at one (or more times) but is currently NOT in the corp.
edit/And seeing as you now biomassed... how could I ever credit that request lol

okay so here's the thing, Chribba and/or EVE Who is so close to alt tagging. with a bit of clicking you can pretty easily follow mains/alts and potential other main/alts through corps by observing them moving into and out of the same corps. often the tell tale sign is the join date or leave date, which is within a few minutes, hours, days. when you follow those characters through their employment history, you'll see that they move closely with the other character. even when you don't find it directly in employment history, you can find it in kill mail information. even if they aren't direct alts, that is to say, one guy and his alts, they do represent a group of characters moving together. it would be great if i could click a button and get a read on how many characters in a corp spend time in another corp together (or even apart) or end up on killmails together. only eve has ever made me wish i was a programmer.
also, Proto? do i get points? |
