I'm struggling with this mission due to the tracking disrupting cruisers. I've always managed to get through it, but I'd say it takes me at least twice as long as it should because my Navy Armageddon gets COMPLETELY shut down by the cruisers until I can kill them off.
I have excellent drone skills (every support skill except for drone durability and the specializations is at V), but it still takes painstakingly long to kill them.
In my ship I carry the following drones:
5x Garde II 5x Hobgoblin II 5x Hornet EC-300
I don't like using 5x Medium drones because then I don't have room to carry any light drones to take out scrambling frigates quickly if I need to get out.
Even with an Omnidiretional Tracking Link, my sentry drones have a very hard time hitting the cruisers when they close in on my ship.
My ship has a 45-55km maximum range to deal damage effectively from with Scorch, so I'm still in range of getting disrupted even if I warp in at max optimal range.
For the heck of it I tried jamming them with the EC-300s, but against a cruiser they did absolutely nothing.
Can someone offer some suggestions?

Yes, for some missions you should change ships according to the NPC Ewar type :
Sanchas -> tracking disrupt -> Use a missile boat, like a Drake / Raven.
Guristas -> ECM -> Have high sensor strenght. Caldari are usually good at this, check out the drake, or maybe the Raven.
Serpentis -> Sensor Damp -> You need a ship with long targeting range to compensate. I'm thinking of the Raven, maybe the Drake.
Blood Raider -> Neut (?) -> Use a capless ship like, say, a drake or a Raven.
Angel -> Target Painters & Webs -> Well, your Drake and Raven already have the signature of a moon and the speed of a lame turtle, why bother changing ?

Get a ship with Tachyons instead and load a longer range ammo. That and the fact that NPC TD's doesn't affect falloff helps immensly.

I must concur with this opinion. Also, npcs activate their ewar at certain ranges. Choosing an optimal range outside that will help you pick them off is a good tactic. You also can use this page to help you find the TDing ones.

If you insist on Pulse Lasers then use an Apoc with Mega Pulse II's, Scorch, and a tracking comp/TE to offest the TD as well. It could just be that the purpose of your life is to server as a warning to others. |

If you must use a Navy Geddon instead of a Tach Pally:
1) Use Wardens, not Gardes, with a Drone Link Augmentor in your utility high to work on the cruisers at range.
2) Use 4 sentries, 5 mediums, and 5 lights. Swap to the Hammerheads when the Wardens start missing - lights are only good for frigates - but watch the triggers.
The Blockade is not like other missions - it has ewar. Don't fit like you do for other missions.

If you MUST use lasers, use tachyons. NPC tracking disruption doesn't affect falloff, and tachyons have the largest falloff of any laser type (almost 50km with a reasonable amount of tracking enhancers and computers)
