Not flaming, but I dont take forum opinions very seriously. Was hoping for a response from CCP as opposed to a player making it up :)

Sisi is un stable right now. When they make the next patch CQ might go live but I do not think so. Just another player opinion

heh aye :) I know theres a few systems locked. f-g7b0 is inaccessable atm on sisi, had assumed that fix was a;ready done given thursdays blog. Nm just impatient to try the new stuff -enters kid with new toy mode-

Some of the Captain's Quarter's content is already included in the latest patch. It just hasn't been enabled yet. I would assume they wish to showcase it at Fanfest first.

Ok. Not a player opinion, but statement of a fact. Captain's Quarters assets have already been introduced on the latest sisi patch. Look for files named "resInteriorCaptainsQuarters.stuff" and "resInteriorEstablishments.stuff". After these were introduced, the Singularity server became unstable, with systems not loading properly. ____________

build 240994 has that file yes, but did you try looking at the assets inside? they are named "blockout" and have no textures, i doubt highly they are ever going to be viewed in-game.
just for kicks i pulled them up in 3ds max, they look pretty unfinished

Most likely they are testing the code back bone for CQ and a good thing too. The code broke the build. Hope the new one they just up loaded fixes the issue so they feel it is safe to up load the good stuff.

I would hope we get to see broken code and sloppy art, otherwise it just wouldn't be eve.

No you didnt, NONE of the eve models have ever been in a format 3dsmax can open natively, been using max since version 5. AND dont try and say you opened them in Triexporter and converted them either. ccp uses a propriatory modeling package they made inhouse for thier models. Nice try though...........

Stuff is not ready to deploy on SiSi yet.
Or CCP actually made something big and want to preserve that for Fanfest for bigger impact. Or both.
But my favorite assumption is that they haven't made anything substantial and want to use Fanfest to present it in a best way possible, to make seem it bigger than it is. Funny shows, beer, all that stuff. And even that is not ready yet.

Many people have used Max to render videos with Eve assets and posted videos on Youtube. They've even been imported into Crysis.

*cough* they use Maya for modeling... Waste of time and precious money to produce inhouse modeling. Rly stop throwing around stuff you don't know... Also there are a lot of universal formats like .obj or .dxf that 3Dsmax can open.
Now. They look unfinished maybe beacuse the importers/exporters you were using lowered the quality of the actual models. it happens a lot and especially when converting maya to 3ds max and back.

It's not proprietary it's granny 2. Commercial plugins for 3ds max are available to studios.
