What I'd like to ask you (and I hope I get some responses here!) is if you had a wish for a player organised event relating to Eve, what would it be? What is it you would prefer to do? Where would you like it to be? What size event would you like? What involvement would you like from CCP and what would you hope to get out of it?

Presuming there is still time left on this study I will answer your questions according to my philosophy and playstyle.

Nothing particularly specific. I would like it to be an event in-space, in which you have to perform actively. It would include at least a small element of testing your skills as a player. Originally by: Max Torps

If I were to participate, it's very exciting as it happens, and there is less responsibility. On the other hand, organising gives me more control to make the event work smoothly. One of the two would be my choice. Originally by: Max Torps

Anywhere in space would be fine. Personally I am partial to high sec because it is an easily controllable environment, and it means a lot of people will be able to partake. Originally by: Max Torps

I guess I'm seeing an entirely differnt angle on this than the poster above me. I thought this was regarding out-of-game events.
For such, I picture (ideally):
- 8-20 participants
- a private room at a restaurant or hotel.
- A/V equipment
- 30-60min "cocktail hour"/ meet&greet
- A themed topic for the formal portion of the event (ratting, PvP, FW, missioning, fleet ops, FCing, etc.)
- A presentation (or two) on that topic by folks who are really good at it.
- Include laptop connected to projector for "practical" demo
- Network up for in-room roam
- Beer up
