This is the FIRST PUBLIC AUCTION for a Revenant Supercarrier BPC, only the SECOND (apparently) Revenant BPC ever to drop since Incursions were launched in January (the existance of the first has never been conclusively proven).
When Incursions were first announced it was thought that the drop rate on these would be quite low, however it has turned out to be much lower than anyone expected at less than one a month. This BPC and the ship it produces are going to remain EXTREMELY RARE in the Eve universe and as such will be really unique in ship collections or on the battlefield.
The spawn rate on the Lowsec Incursion sites, which are the only sites that these BPC's drop from, seems to be about one per week. The Incursions themselves take about 3 or 4 days to grind down and there is a good chance this BPC won't drop, from the last 5 sites (including this one) there has been a Nightmare BPC, another Nightmare BPC, a Shadow (fighter bomber) BPC, a Phantasm and then the Revenant BPC. These sites were all ran by us so we can confirm these drops as accurate. As stated, very very low drop rate.

Amarr Carrier Skill Bonuses:
* Can fit 1 additional Warfare Link module per level
* 10% bonus to fighter and fighter-bomber max velocity per level (which refers to top MWD speed here, not orbit velocity)
Caldari Carrier Skill Bonuses:
* Can deploy 1 additional fighter or fighter-bomber per level
* 50% bonus to capital energy and shield transfer per level
Role Bonuses:
*99% reduction in CPU need for Warfare Link modules
*Can fit Projected Electronic Counter Measures
*200% bonus to Fighter or Fighter Bomber control range
*Immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare

As stated above the real value of this ship does not come from its stats or slot layout or tank, but from its rarity.
Auction Rules :
Auction will run for one week from this posting, and will end at 1740 Eve on the 27th of March.
A one hour sniper rule will be in effect come the end of the auction.
This auction has no listed buyout, but feel free to send me buyout offers regardless.
Bids below the starting bid or the current highest bid will NOT be accepted.
Bids made in game will NOT be accepted.
Third party service of your choice may be used at your own expense. This BPC is located in High Security space.

You use 3rd parties when there is no in game method of securely transferring payment. Just check it is a revenant BPC before you click yes to a multi billion isk contract.

My esteemed colleague above is correct, a third party service would NOT be required, as a BPC on contracts can be viewed before the contract is accepted.
HOWEVER. I understand how a lot of people feel about Goonwaffe, so I mentioned a third party service on the off chance that the tinfoil hat couldn't be prised from the head of whoever wins this for long enough to realise that, actually, there's no way we can scam you through contracts with this item. I mean what are we going to do, make it a want to buy in case you have a second Rev BPC in your hanger?
Anyway, consider this my bump for the day, current high bidder is Beluntz with 55bil.

You do realize that this is basicly for collecting... anyone who buys this ship bpc at its current rarity and value, and then proceeds to use it in open combat is an idiot. Considering the thread title specifically says it is a BPC and in the body of the OP it mentions that it is the BPC at least 3 times, I would seriously doubt anyone could assume it was the constructed supercarrier. But hey, this is eve :P

That isn't actually possible, since lowsec incursions only spawn once a week, and there seems to be a less than 15% chance of one of these dropping when the site IS completed.
Unless the mechanics change, there is a certain guaranteed rarity to this ship bpc.

If thereÆs a problem with this sort of auction itÆs on the sellers side of the equation. How does the seller verify the legitimacy of the bids during the bidding phase? It highlights a problem with the contract auction system and suggests a change to that system to improve it by reducing or eliminating sniping. Automated proxy, automated and randomized one hour sniping rule or automatic extension of the auction by a couple of minutes in the case of last second snipes.

Well, if we were going to scam this, we would have scammed this when we dropped the first low-sec incursion we did. This should be a simple trade in station, so it would be hard to confuse people on it. Plus, there are contract histories confirming our other low sec BPCs we got, though some were sold in corp first.
While you might not have a high opinion of us, that does not make the facts that we've been doing these things and finally got a drop less valid. And we are business people like everyone else in the game. If anything, it is the bidders that should be questioned so far. Should we do a Chribba 1% deposit auction?

Please reread my post and see that I was not suggesting goons were trying to scam in this instance. In fact it was just the opposite. Perhaps you found the term ôunlikelyö to be too much of an understatement.
My message was simple. IÆm not a fan and therefore would point out a scam if I could see one. I do not see a scam here. Handling the transaction through contract should guarantee a scam proof transaction if the buyer takes the simple precaution of reading the transaction. There are only two potential scams which have been suggested. The one I suggested, which is unlikely and the one Slayer suggested which is even less likely. Both were suggested as absurdities pointing out the extreme low probability of scam.
Goons love to scam, among other things, and I love to slam goons. Goons do a lot to be slammed for which makes it a silly waste to try to make something up to slam them over.
I suppose the auction could be someoneÆs idea of a joke, but that seems unlikely too.

If the interested party wants for us to build it for them that can certainly be arranged, for an additional fee. I often buy Raven BPCs off contracts and am disgusted that they don¦t come with a fully built copy of the ship also.

You mean the people that're bidding 250+ billion? We've already rejected those bids. This thread has attracted a lot of dumb people who're trying to do a lot of dumb things. For those who are trying to put in random giant bids, we can always have a third party collect a 1% deposit from each bidder. Don't get your hopes up on slowing down the moneytrain 'cause it's already in the station (VFK I guess cause that's where most of us live).
For those who are trolling us about how our thread is getting crapped on, each goon involved in the kill is getting around 1 bil each at this point so we still think it's a pretty cool thread no matter what you say.
For those who think this is the first of hundreds of revenant bpcs and oh god they'll be worth less than a billion in a month, the same people were in the thread where we sold the Makur's PDS and thought they'd nab one later for their collection. Ask them if they have one now. The drop rate is, as mentioned, maybe 15% (it could be lower, we might've just gotten lucky. THINK ABOUT THAT WILL YOU) with one shot every week or so, and once we get bored and find something else to do that'll drop even further.
And for the rest of you keep on rocking hells yeah.
ps does anyone know why the spell checker thinks revenant is spelled wrong I mean it's a real thing not like elves and orcs and jobs in detroit

Also your grasp of the Incursion mechanics is staggeringly uninformed. There have been none of these BPCs dropped in high sec, or in null sec, because they only spawn in LOW sec. This has been stated by CCP on numerous occasions and confirmed by the players running the incursions. The fighter bomber BPC is the only one that will drop in high/null sec. ALSO at a drop rate of 15% you will see about 8 of these ships produced a year. If that doesn't make this rare then I don't know what does.á

That would hopefully give a more reliable indication of rarity, since it's a larger sample size. Any chance you have tracked this at all?

We have, and although the details are confidential, we can say that of the five or six low sec incursions completed since release, this is the only confirmed Revenant BPC drop.

It would be interesting to deduce how many incursion sites have been completed since the feature was added, assuming that this is only the second drop. That would hopefully give a more reliable indication of rarity, since it's a larger sample size. Any chance you have tracked this at all?
Of the five completed personally by us this is the only drop, and of the three or so completed before we started doing them there is one unconfirmed drop which was allegedly sold to a private seller.

If the auction winner wishes to have the Revenant BUILT.
it will cost an ADDITIONAL 12.5Bil for building fees.
HOWEVER, after winning said auction, the winner will be required to pay the final price for the BPC into a third party so there is no "change of mind" while we take the five to seven weeks it takes to build the mothership.
Third Party Fee will be your expense
