Somewhere around July 2007 I got lucky in the t2 bpo lottery. Not amazingly staggeringly lucky, just "oh hey I got something" lucky. Having neither the time or dedication to do much with this thing that landed in my lap handed it over (yes gave it away) to Shar Tegral, the deal being that he researched it, produced from it and I got some of the product for my own use.
Last Friday I asked for this bpo back from Shar, today I got it back (it had to be unlocked). Shar has had ample opportunity to walk away with this laughing, he could have given me the finger when I asked for it back, or simply ignored me. He did none of those things, simply returned what is mine.

The majority of people in Eve are honest, the alts have always been the problem. :) People usually won't burn their mains, but will happily burn an alt army.
Right now I have loaned out a super capital, several capital/t2 bpos and will have no issues getting them back. I have only been burned a few times through the years, but I rarely share or loan what I am not willing to lose. :)
Anyhow, grats on realizing the person you trusted was indeed trustworthy. :)

Posting to confirm that Shar tegral has also held collateral in a private loan. the T2 BPO was used to fund my First SC purchase.
when i asked for it back he gave it to me straight away.

Let's assume it's a high-end bpo, as, if it were a low end one, you wouldn't even have thought he had doubts of given it back. You loaned him this, what, in 2007? 2008? Again, assuming it's a high-end one, he could've made a bucket load out of it.
So the matter of fact is that he probably squeezed the bpo dry, and doesn't need it anymore (and if not burned out probably bought loads of other t2's with the isk he made).
Nothing to do with the trustwortiness i think.

why even debate what BPO is was? this is the standard "reputation grind post" & amateur at best. that akjon fergusion guy's was better least he admitted what it was.
@OP/Shar should have waited to post this drivel until you character has been on the forums at least 6 months.
PRO TIP: making reputation threads only draws in negatives (liberty eternal)

Yeah, I'm here.
But my question is entirely unrelated - OP, are you retaking possession of your T2 bpo in order to sell off the asset?
Seems a lot of people are doing this. Major change in T2 on the horizon or something?

Might I suggest a tinfoil beanie for you sir? My relationship with this fine gentleman was disclosed almost a year ago when I started wholesaling guardians. ( Linkage) Originally by: clixoras So the matter of fact is that he probably squeezed the bpo dry, and doesn't need it anymore (and if not burned out probably bought loads of other t2's with the isk he made).
Actually Valk II's are still very profitable. Not to mention that I've not made one isk of that bpo in about 2 years. I'd have to check my records on that but I think I'm right. Speaking of records, I host Ray McCormack's wonderful "sexy" api application. I host it so that people I have specific arrangements with can monitor my activities to their hearts content. After all, my success is their success so why not share? I allowed corp mates to utilize the bpo to help fund their Eve activities. Every so often I'd ensure that the current person got their lips of the isk tit and let someone else have a turn. Each rotation required each person to forge an agreement with Fergus. (I insisted on personal interaction.) The conclusion of our arrangement came not because I was done with the BPO. The last corp mate to handle it has essentially left Eve for who knows how long. That being the case I contact Fergus and gave him a range of options. I was inclined to wholesale the production of Valk II's to an auction winner much akin to what I'm already doing with the Guardian BPO. Fergus had other ideas given the value of selling the bpo entirely. I might bid on it when it goes up for auction, I may not. The general price it's sold for is beyond my liquidity, which is never very high anyway. So I may pass on it or I may run a bond or ipo on it. It just depends on how stupid the bidding gets. (And it can get stupid imho.) So there's the story in a not so small nutshell. PS: It is to my knowledge that about 60k valks were made and sold on the market. It is not. I don't need rep grinding thank you. Originally by: Misty McGinnity refresh us as to why anybody would care?
TBH I don't know. Obviously you do, it's something nice and shiny for you to puke all over. For others, perhaps it's something worth seeing instead of the "next scam". As to why I think it relevant: We've seen how some people keep track of posts even years later. My arrangement with Fergus became a matter of "forum" record. So the completion of the arrangement should, in all fairness, be a matter of "forum" record. After all, if I did a runner - now that's news. Why not in the opposite case? Listen, I know this whole affair goes against your belief that life is crap and everyone is crap and nothing will ever change that. The truth is that I am just as much crap as you believe everyone to be - I'm just crappy in other ways. I'm a jerk, an ass, often opinionated, and sometimes quite quite wrong. My only balance to those (and other) flaws is that I'm honest and I have integrity. (Honesty doesn't always come with integrity!) I can only suggest you stop making a fool of yourself in your trolling. None of your raised issues or concerns actually apply. So why not move onto something with teeth in it? (I.e. Complain about what an Ass I always am or something!)

Sure i will, one more thing tho,
Please confirm you have no intentions of asking for any sort of public isk in form of bonds, IPO / any other.

Again someone asks me a question that I can only say "Why should I answer?" The question you are dancing around is if this is reputation grinding. It is not. I can raise funds without coming to these forums easily enough. I can equally raise funds coming to these forums if I so choose to do so. I have done both on several occasions previously. Listen, just because you have not been around long enough to know everyone or to know much history doesn't mean it didn't exist or didn't happen. I'll grant you this, you probably don't know me from the next newb that pops his head in. But you should ask yourself, does that mean I am a newb? Now, as always - that being said, no one is asking you for isk. I have no plans right now to ask for isk from the forums now or in the near future. And if I do I fully expect you, or some other professional troll, to do as much vandalizing as possible. To good effect and to bad effect. The end point of this story is sometimes things are exactly as they seem. Nothing more, nothing less. PS: ISD reporter once made fun of my journalistic ideas that " Man makes it home safely" is a good story. He felt that if it wasn't death, mayhem, or destruction why bother writing about it. Because good things do happen but in Eve they don't happen as often. If we glamorize villainy, can't we take a minute out for decency?

You know, before you think someone is new or not perhaps you might want to hit up Eve Search. Much better history can be gained. Also Chribba programmed in an overall statistic page as well. And he didn't charge for awesomeness! PS: My previous statement still stands. I'm not looking for any public or private isk.

Edited by: Myra2007 on 22/03/2011 14:44:55 While you may not need any kind of (further) reputation building you do seem to enjoy running around emphasizing how damn upright you are. I know I have read at least 3-4 statements to that effect in the last few days and I certainly wasn't looking for it.
I'm willing to assume that you're actually right about that too. The thing is that makes it just worse. You can do the right thing for the wrong reasons too.
edit: also I'm in the wrong business seeing how the guy treats a guardian bpo as a redheaded stepchild

I was already weaning myself off Caffeine prior to the event. Interestingly enough it is the gym that has become my morning coffee. I'm still groggy and not quite awake first thing in the morning. I have my morning meal, check my blood sugar, and then hit the gym. About 7 minutes on the bicycle and I can suddenly see other people. Go figure. PS: Of course we are now way off topic me thinks.

Fixed that for you. Those people who listened to my warning that Eve bank was going wrong withdrew their funds. Those that didn't... didn't. Just because you, and many others, decided to ignore my warnings and troll me is your own fault. But at least you are mostly consistent. Still trolling, just a touch of whine has entered your lie. Of course butt hurt does bring on much whining.
