Hello
Im curious at what point do the PvP players understand why your 0.0 is empty? And why more and more people go to WH to live in Poses? Do you not understand that less than 10% of EvE's player base is in 0.0? Do you not understand why the fact, the point, we don't go to null?
Because you camp choke points 24/7. if anyoen tries to setup a POS, u blob the **** out of them. If people ask for standings, you demand billions of ISK a month in *rent*. You ***** and you moan about the local channel and the PvP aspect of EvE Online dieing.
You have only yourselfs to blame. If you wernt such greedy children. Such idiotic players that respond to a POS being put up in your space with instant capital voilence. maybe more of us would go to 0.0. You new age PvP pilots are ruining EvE.
Remove Jump Bridges, Nerf Titan bridges, Remove Capitals. And let's see how u play, the way we used to play. 40 jumps for a fight.
The moral of this post?
If you want more players in 0.0, to fill the thousands of empty null sec systems. Stop killing anyone who comes into your space and stop charging billions of isk for corps/alliances to move into your space and STOP, i can stress this enough, STOP BLUEING EVERY DAMN NEIGHBOUR YOU HAVE.
PvP in eve is going downhill and guess what. Null sec will follow and we, the playerbase in empire who grew tired of your stupid rules. Will stand and laugh as it fails.

Dude, they don't want you in 0.0. You're worthless; most of empire is worthless to the alliances, and they don't want people crowding their space. Empty systems are perfect for them, so that their members can go chew rats or sites or roids and get rich in peace.
CCP may want more people in 0.0, because CCP wants us to blow each other up mindlessly so they can claim record numbers of x and y to promote their game, but as far as players are concerned, **** off and stay in empire, where you can grind your ISK via missions so you can then buy the output of stuff that comes out of 0.0.
So, yeah. So much anger from you, and also completely not getting it.

I suppose by preventing large power blocs of NAP'd alliances having time to "clean" all systems from new small guys, because the component alliances/corps would be too busy fighting each other.
But yeah, it's too easy to move around in Eve, which makes the universe way too small. I wish I had found this game back in 2004 or something, instead of 2007.

I prefer 0.0 without the hordes and over-crowding of empire. Situation is good.
Note: I'm with a small, independent corp - not part of a mega-alliance. There's plenty of room for small groups out here. Those who can't figure out how to get past gate camps are probably not cut out for 0.0 life.

Umm, yep. It is something like 30+ jumps (almost all systems i have stuff in high sec are between 40-65 jumps off) through low sec and null from closest high sec system to my home system without jump bridges. So ... yep very close and easily navigateable it is

I remember slow-boating an Obelisk that deep into 0.0, solo. It was no big deal :p.

I'm a newbie and all, but I don't see the appeal of doing gate-camp duty to begin with. It's blockade duty and (putting on best Joanne Worley voice) that's boooorrrriiiinnnnngggg!!! You're just sitting and sitting and sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting for some poor schlemiel to bumble, stumble, and fumble his/her way through your gate so you can pounce. It's more exciting doing at your keyboard mining (which is the way it should be done--just say no to bots.)
Seriously--well sort of seriously--from this new player's perspective, this does sound a bit like killing "the goose that laid the golden egg". Why not charge reasonable "transit fees"--enough where Mr. or Ms. Pirate can "Yo Ho Ho" in the nearest space cantina while at the same time Mr. Miner still makes enough to make the trip worthwhile? If you want one or two systems that are your own--then maybe put up "No Trespassing" signs, but I can't see the benefit in attacking anything that moves--I'd want to make a steady stream of income off them first--but then, that's just how this newcomer thinks...we all play the game differently and have different expectations and goals... Yes, it is. Should take you a ****ing week to cross known space, at least! Not one day.
Now add jump bridges....
Space is huuuuge, so this isn't space, all of Eve is more like one city, then space.
At least W-space is a little better, but that too, is too small and too easily navigated through.

Well Marcella, there are many golden geese that lay many eggs erreday day, if you shoot one there will still be more plus you get the added pleasure of shooting geese. Have you ever seen a goose explode? SERIOUSLY HAVE YOU!? ITS EFFING HILARIOUS!
Also in the process of exploding the geese usually sh*t themselves and lay an egg (pod). Which you can proceed to explode as well.

That's not an exploding Goose. If you read the comments, it's "not a bird ingestion test, it's a blade separation test. Notice the single fan blade that's painted a different color - that blade has an explosive charge at the base of it. The test is to ensure that when the blade separates it will be contained within the engine shroud; it has nothing to do with bird ingestion."

It's not about boredom. It's about them visualising you getting upset at having your stuffs blown up. There's a threadnought in Crime and Punishment about the sociopathy of MMO piracy.

Carebears that don't have the time or inclination for PvP will stay in empire.
For ever
They are worth more to 0.0 alliances doing there thing in empire as mats are cheaper that way due to the volume of account holders acquiring the mats 0.0 alliances need.
Industrial characters that don't mind fitting and turning up to a CTA aren't worth as much to low corp-tax rate member of a nap'd alliance.
If 80%+ of characters exist in empire it means 80%+ of Mats come from empire itself if not more.
0.0 Alliances exist on empire based mats for good or bad, loot drops don't cut it.
Any corporation empire or otherwise will need to mission or mine or both - they spend the income on combat or market pvp.

^This, except empire isn't worthless as they truck supplies from there and truck crap to sell there. All the rest of Eve that isn't 00 is good for is making isk, resupply, and targets.
The only people in 00 that want more people in 00 are the ones sick of blobs and seeing small gang pvp be such a PIA/life form that is dying. The rest, probably majority are fine killing each other with epic blobs inbetween running their local BS, plexes, ratting, botting, blue etc.
TLDR: 00 only cares about 00, everything and everyone else exists to benefit them period.

Look,
this game requires dedication if you want to succeed - the people in 0.0 are very dedicated and play this game every damn night and most of the weekend. Not to mention extensive OOG interaction on private forums, voice comms, reading mails, writing mails, checking stats, KPI monitoring etc.
Do you really think 0.0 choke points are going to be a cakewalk?
A frigate can light a cyno ffs, so pretty much any ship is a threat to security - borders must be protected.
You want to question how 0.0 alliances operate? Go form an alliance and try holding some space of your own. You want to criticize capital warfare? Join the CSM debate and speak up. Remove jump bridges? Do you have any idea what that would mean logistically? Do you have any clue how utterly time consuming it is to run operations in 0.0?
You wanna go to 0.0? Why? What possible reason could you have for going there? You aren't dedicated enough and won't defend your borders, be interested in setting up POS's, or any other infrastructure critical to survival in 0.0 and you believe all other people in 0.0 are idiots...nice job in diplomacy!
Would I be right in saying you just want to log in and PvP? If so, go do some faction warfare or join R v B or go pirate.
You could also take a clone and a shuttle and go to somewhere like Fountain, do a clone jump whenever bored of High Sec, pay the overpriced fees for a ship and go have fun.
Or would that be too much dedication for you?

You see...you only get gratification here if the other person gets upset after you frag 'em. Otherwise...all you've done is scrag some pixels...congratulations...the Bud's on me! Also...this can work the other way...just keep reading and you'll see what I mean... ;)
Quote: Pubbies stay out of nullsec. Problem solved.
Hey...I got no problem with that. I'll just do my thang singin' a song and flittin' about doin' my buidness and say "Hi" to any new pals I hope to meet as I do my thang with my thang (get your minds outta the gutter--I mean my ship!) and you can sit at your stargate and watch...and watch...and watch...and oh yeah...watch. Have fun watchin' the castle and don't let that rickety ol' shuttle sneak by--you never know--he might be carrying some Quafe that you can loot...
Quote: It's not about boredom. It's about them visualising you getting upset at having your stuffs blown up. There's a threadnought in Crime and Punishment about the sociopathy of MMO piracy. YARRRR!!
Ok...then take that thrill away from them. Do the one thing they're going to hate most--laugh at them! Bust their chops. Here's how: Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you get podded, you respawn at your rookie location with a rookie ship--right? Ok, do up a cheap alt or two, let's say Ira Corpse and his cousin Ima Body. Give 'em just the skills they need to pilot their ships and nothing more. Then stick 'em in their rookie ships with their rookie electron blaster and their rookie miner and send 'em to wherever--let's say Goonybird Central for grins and chuckles. When you get there, turn your ship around so that you show 'em your rear and moon 'em as they frag you. Then laugh at 'em cause they fragged a Corpse or a Body in a rookie ship with absolutely nothing on board! Rinse...lather...repeat as much as you want until you get bored.
Look, in all seriousness--for real now--you can either let them get to you or not--it's up to you. Getting podded isn't worth getting upset over and it's not worth losing sleep over. Take it from someone who came close to actually dying a year ago--life is too short to let yourself get upset over what other people do in an MMO. Just do your thing, try not to whiz on someone else's fun (unless they're being a bully or a...well...you get the idea), and have fun yourself because when it stops being fun, it's time to get out.
Be safe and buy bonds! :)
