After 2 years of grinding missions, I have standings of 9.6 for Amarr and 9.0 for Caldari. This is great for agent access and putting up a POS but pretty dire for travelling any distance in unfamilliar space. Is there anywhere in the route settings that take into consideration that I have -9.6 for Gallent and Minmatar and will avoid those systems completely? TBH it's safer for me to travel by WH or through 0.0.

find the crossing systems/routes that go between amarr/caldari and minnie/gallente, put them on the 'avoid' list.
block those entirely and it'll redirect you through lowsec/null, or block the routes entirely if done properly. --

So there is no quick way? or settings? Are we talking many systems here? The System info is very lacking where as it doesn't show sovereignty and in the past the only way I could tell was by getting my ass shot off. The last thing I want is to be studying maps for hours. Maybe CCP might add that small detail in the future?

Well, I personally lack those standings, so I've never had to do that. I'd wonder if 'less secure' might take your standings into account? I really don't know how to answer that. Theres only a few 'main' trade routes between gallente/caldari space with the potential for a dozen or so alternate routes. i think its really just a matter of feeling out your boundries and knowing where they are with experience. --

I was actually looking to use the highest level 4 R&D agent for Carthum which is a Caldari corp. Unfortunately the route directed me through Gallent space. My only alternative seems to be by travelling by pod and contracting the datacores to be freighted out when I'm ready to collect them. It sucks really but spose it's a way around it. Nobody ever told me that I would get a bad rep through running missions untill it was too late to turn it around. I'm doomed now lol.

No, not really. Have an alt on the same account train for industrials/blockade runners and use that? Theres a lot of ways around it. --

I've got 9.6 faction with Caldari navy and I used to be shoot on site in Minmatar and Gallente space (Diplomacy and Sister's missions fixed that), but as long as I didn't auto-pilot or doddle around gates I never got shot at. I got the warnings saying I was an outlaw there and subject to being shot at by their navies but never stuck around long enough for them to get a lock or fire on me. Of course I never flew anything less agile than a Drake through their space either, maybe a really slow aligning transport might get caught at a gate.

I did this with a freighter once on Sisi, didn't make it into warp before the faction police popped the hull.

Wouldn't it have been nice if your route had a line of red dots hinting that your ass was grass if you jumped through the gate? But wait! soon we're going to be mincin around in stations changin clothes with more accessories than Barbie and thats what's really important, not gameplay

So you're saying 'tis the FASHION police and not the Faction police we should be worried about? I'm totally ****ed in that case.

Could you get a friend, or 2nd account to run Gallente missions (pirate faction only) and fleet/split the standings with you until your standings become reasonable again?

Should I live so long and no. First I would need to get a Gallent corp standing high enough to allow me to run missions for them which should take me untill my 70th. Then I could run storyline missions for Gallente if there was a Gallent storyline agent in either Amarr or caldari space. I would only be able to run courier or materials for war missions or I would lose standings with Amarr or Caldari and become hated by them too. By my 80th I should be pretty much ok if I can still use the mouse with the callouses I would have from playin 24:7 Edited to add You do realise that faction standings only increase with storyline missions. I have one toon with standings of over 9 for 10 corps but has a faction standing of 0 because it has never run a mission but has been in fleet salvaging.

Of course those are the only way you'd run the storylines, or any missions for that matter when they dont involve you shooting at another faction to avoid your issue that your now having (Which kind of impresses me you didnt realize til now and or kept doing it?
Anyway train DIPLOMACY. You should be able to do level 1 missions for basically anyone and do storylines to get your standings back up. So long as your in something tanky-ish and frigate/cruiser sized faction police should never catch you. Even agile BC's shouldn't get hit much.

Diplomacy 5 and I can do level 4 Sister's Missions now. My Minnie faction is still -4.49 but they've stopped shooting at me. The Gallente faction has got to -3.65 or so

Repairing standings takes weeks, not years.
First stop making it worse. If you do not do faction kill missions, your standings with the other guys will not drop below -5. ( It will only drop for storyline missions ). Diplomacy then gets it to -2, and you are good to go.
But if its already below -5, you got to do missions. For raising Gallente and Matari standings nothing beats missioning for Sisters of Eve. They rarely give faction kill missions, and their storyline missions help Gal and Min, while doing almost nothing to Cal and Ammar. You got to work up to L4 missions like you always have to, but thats weeks.
For raising Amarr or Caldari standings you got no real good choice but mission for them. Fortunately all factions got agents in all other faction space. So no matter where you are, you can repair standings. Also note that to move up to L2, L3 and L4 missions you just need standings with the NPC corp. Having good faction standings is not needed.

*DeMichael Crimson is confused and wonders why nobody has referred to the Faction Standing Repair Plan.
Edit: DeMichael Crimson also points out that Faction standing must be above -2.00 to have access to agents above Level 1 Quality 0 - regardless of the Corporation and or Agent standing.

TBH I'm not bothered about repairing standings in Min or Gal, Too much unrewarding grind for what? I just wanted an easy way of avoiding their systems but it seems that the autopilot/route planner is not sophisticated enough to incorporate faction standings. Perhaps I should post this on page 5000 of papercuts as if someone may read it and actually GaF.

Hint to those worried about faction standings. Don't spam missions and instead use one of the zillion other ways to make plentiful isk.

http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Data_Center_Agents#Kamokor each race has 3 systems where you can work on your faction standings. yes, it will lower your standings with Amarr and Caldari but not to the point where you're going to be a global pirate in their eyes.

You can work round it using jump clones for your main and a hauler alt. Just have to make the one trip out there.
