Darn it, I will probably have to wait for the youtube video for details. Either CCP was being cryptic with their wording on things or those reporting the security talk were being too cryptic with their posts. "Background Detection" is this an automated program or various gms going through data to see if someone is a bot. I do hope it is the former, possibly with some gm button pushing to confirm bot death (aka kill or not button). The portrait report bot feature could be helpful, at least for the more obvious bots. I don't know where, I don't know when... but something awful is going to happen xD

I will just have to wait for the youtube video to come up in order to get more details The meetings that were covered were sort of interesting, but nothing I haven't heard before. It was good to see people were talking more about inevitabilities more than silly little ideas. A good example of this was when a dev mentioned they were considering making lag a feature during large fleet fights, as in slowing down all commands and actions in the affected system. I think it would be a welcome feature that would at least smooth out lag as well as allowing for extremely massive fleet fights to occur even though things would be extremely slow. Tell Kesper Elzon1 said thanks for taking the time to cover such meetings for those who couldn't go to this fanfest. I really do appreciate such efforts. I don't know where, I don't know when... but something awful is going to happen xD
