Okay, so my hulk/orca toon are done training... thems my money makers
So my question is this.. ive made Two minmatar toons Exactly the same race/creed/bloodline ect.. starting in same station... i want too Train both of these toons Exactly the same...for Low-sec pvp roaming..
What two of the same ship would compliment each-other for said low-sec pvp roaming?
been kind of leaning towards two stealth-bombers but again, not exactly sure what i wanna fly.. been staring at evemon ship lists for like an hour trying 2 decide haha
Thx in advance

Definately not 2 sb for lowsec imo. The uses are limited and you can't uswe bombs. Id say you could do dps tree the whole way up, rifter to rupture to hurricane, or go for the vaga. Any two will compliment each other. Or you could train one for falcon and go ecm/dps for complete ownage.

Do the rifter rupture cane thing, but strongly consider what you get from T3 SP training rather than T2 large guns and BS, unless you go all gate pirate style. You'll already have T2 medium guns for the cruisers and BCs, and it's faster than recons, logistics, hacs, cov ops etc for almost as good bonuses, just more isk and mitigatable-but-possible SP loss. |

Two of the same ship class are rarely ideal as a duo for dualboxing. This is doubly true for minmatar, where agility is key.
One possibly lulzy combination would be an artypest and a scythe (tracking links ftw).
Or a sleipnir/vagabond with a scimitar.
But with either of those, unless you are VERY good at micromanaging two ships at once, you will die horribly.

Edited by: Target Painter on 24/03/2011 22:04:59 Rapier and Vagabond. If you are exceptionally good at dual-boxing.
One of my corpmates uses a Loki/Cane/Sleipnir and Scimi combo, he only actively flies the Scimi while just setting the DPS ship to approach and F1.

As others have said, two of the same rarely work and it would especially be hard with Minmatar. (although I have dual boxed two Tempest before while fighting a carrier)
I'd suggest going with a Rapier and Shield tanked Hurricane set up or a Rapier & a Bomber if you plan to hit null sec very often. Either way you need to be able to keep at least 1 toon at range to do it's DPS while the other is with-in tackle range. It'sa too hectic trying to run two up close ships or two fast ships.
The advantage of the Rapier in the mix, is not only will you have the ability to hold down a target and keep it from escaping, but you can also fit it with a expanded probe launcher and be able to probe out ships.
Personally I prefeer dual boxing with a pair of Drakes as it's a hell of a lot easier.. Drakes or a DPS ship & a covt ops scout.

2 x Scimitars. Load the dronebay of each with 3 valkarie II and 3 warrior II. You can do a really decent cap stable setup with only T2 mods, afterburner, web on one ship, warp scram or disruptor on the other. Tank comes from a combo of speed, signature radius and resists, plus the always present logistic wingman. If you are comfortable with using pricy implants in low sec throw in a set of halo implants to bring that signature radius down even further.
Main weakness is neutralizers, but you dont really have a reason to be that close to targets capable of using the larger ones. People might try to use a tackler plus sniper setup.... wait till the tackler is up close, then apply your own web and tackle.... then unleash the drones. (if you kept the drones hidden till he's tackled he may have a minor stroke)
Offensively it's not a wtfpwn combo, but it'll beat any buffer tanked ship, and anything needing cap boosters to stay alive. It won't kill anything with a decent cap stable active tank, but those aren't terribly common on pvp ships. The real strength is when you find people to fleet up with: you'll be a real asset to any medium to large size fleet, and simply hooking up with one or two high dps ships would be quite effective.
Probably not the most effective combo, if you're after effective then go with an unprobable t3 booser plus a good solo ship. But if you're after the 'twins' effect I think logistics would be a good choice.
