Edited by: KATAL MATU on 26/03/2011 19:40:27 If I pod kill a corp member, will I be concorded? What about sec status, will I be hit there as well for podding a corp mate?

As far as the game mechanics go there are no repercussions for shooting corp members ships or pods. You just have to deal with an angry corporation ---

Why is this even allowed anyway?

Pod express can be done by self-destruct, only have to wait for 2 minutes. But I was asking, why PvP within corp is allowed at all.

How else are you supposed to test out your brand new ships tank?

PvP: discipline, training, corp tournaments, testing fits.
Podding (or other "attacks" on pods): fast travel, discipline, training nubbins to insta-warp their pods.

Because there isn't a good reason to disallow it and many reasons to allow it. An immunity to being attacked can also be abused by spies just the same as the ability to attack freely, so you can't avoid having some potential issues no matter what you do. It would also be a problem if accidental harming of corp mates caused a reaction, while an unwanted intentional harming can easily be dealt with by the corp on it's own if it chooses to do so.
Maybe more importantly how a corporation treats it's own members is an internal issue that no outsider has any business to interfere with. They all have their individual codes of conduct and they have to have ways to test and discipline their members as they see necessary. If a member has an issue with the way he is being treated, he is free to leave and join another corp or go back to a NPC corp.

Not to mention it allows your corp to do practice battles and train members how to pvp. There really is no reason to remove that.

Thank you all for your responses.
Training, punishment, and trust seem to all be very good reasons that this is still in place. I've read threads going back to 2005 talking about this feature. Read about rumors that CCP was planning to remove this feature, or at least make it a concordable offense.
Needed clarification that this feature still remains.
Thanks again.
