You want to field the expensive crap, you take the risk for it.
huh? yes I think we should extend this concept to all large ships, crusier and above, how about that?
End all insurance BS especially!? (see how stupid that sounds?)

I have to say your entire post sounds stupid. Perhaps you could re-type it in plain English.

This is paraphase out of a topic about insurance. Once upon a time there has a player who thought mods, launchers and other valueable things should not be insured. This is my reply...please connect the dots. The bigget drawback to such insurance (or any insurance) is who gets to set fair market value...hmmm CCP? yes maybe ccp would set insurance values every 60 days or so...

We need fewer ISK faucets, not more.
Yes, end all insurance altogether. Excellent idea!

The most expensive items would get the worst insurance, because insurance is not based on isk cost but mineral cost.

I don't think mods should be insurable for a number of reasons.
here's one: it would reward self-destruct. If your ship SDs, all mods are destroyed (cue payout). If someone else blows your ship up, you would (presumably) only get payout for the destroyed items, not those that dropped.

Insurance once introduced is a Giffin Good http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giffen_good
bottom line, you have to buy more and more of it to get less, and less. Minimum default insurance in the game is 30m on large ships. Which looks like nothing on a Navy Raven for example. 30/700= about 2.3% real insurance bahhh!

They should really just change its name to Mineral Salvage Rights. Because thats what it is.

Well here is a view point, you are insuring a combat vessel. A vessel designed to give and take damage. A vessel that will see combat. Try insuring that for any good premium in the real world and you'll see it's quite realistic. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

I think it's all in a name Corina's Bodyguard, has an excellent idea...just change the name...
how long would it have lasted if they took 10% of your pay every week and invested it at less than 3%?? It would have been killed within the first 4 years if they called it the Government Investment program...instead they named it Social Security..(biggest pozzi shceme ever)
