So im sure many will be annoyed by me asking this but i just cant help to wounder... what is currently considered wealthy? i have about 14 billion in isk/assests, is there statistics out there anywhere that break down the wealth of players by percentage and amount of isk?
just curious to know where i stand

Wealth depends very much on what you want to do with your ISK.
If your idea of splashing out is buying a shiny new battlecruiser then 1 to 2 hundred million ISK would make you wealthy in that bracket... If you idea of splashing out is buying your next Supercarrier at 50 bn a time then obviously 200m is not going to cut it.

Hmm...
Don't think I've ever owned more than 1 bil...
I'm not really good at this "getting isk" part of EVE.

same here.
I've never ratted or PVEed unless I needed to or was really bored.
Only time I went over 1bil was when I came across 4 DED guristas plexes in low sec and reached around 2.1 bil or so but most of the time my wallets stays at around 400-700mil.
Frankly, if I ever went completely broke, I would just buy a couple plexes to sell.
I'd rather not make eve a second job with grinding for isk.

The arithmetical average wallet size is somewhere little under 1 billion ISK. The middle of the wallet size set however has a smaller value. But that's not taking into account asset value, just liquid ISK... and also not taking into account alts. It gets... complicated.
Quite a few of the "top dogs" of EVE most likely have a net asset value into the multiple-trillion ISK value, and some claim to actually have had more than one trillion ISK liquid at some point in time. _

(we did a count on the 1t liquid guys once in signatures, and came up that there should be at least a good dozen of them)

A state issue Raven was recently sold to a private party for 350 billion. I think that's a fair chunk of change... relative to my holdings and isk... but some of the harder-core types / alliance heads / etc... def have ISK in the trillions. Liquid. I think Cribba or Entity might be able to give you a good idea of some of the top brackets... since they do business with them regularly. There are a lot of really rich players in fact (I'm not one of them), but from what I've seen if you want to play the game they play you need to have the ISK. The top guys have a little circle they use to manipulate the market on a macro level. There's an alliance called "ISK Six" that does a lot in the high end too... wonder if anyone of them will respond to this...

well, the ones i know of are more in the 'service' department. and then come some major industrialists. however one could argue that if it werent for botting, the isk to pay for those services or products wouldnt even exist. but i guess thats not the point of this thread.

My NAV is only about a third of a trillion
P.S. Entity, just as far as assets go, he probably has a few good dozens of trillions _

one should also consider that once you reach a certain point, gain in NAV is just for the sake of getting richer, wich can be a goal, dont get me wrong, but might not increase everybodies game experience.
One might have more fun in burning thru rifters in RvB than one might have jumping his 3 titans into a 1200 man blob. It always depends on what you want to do.
However it is nice to PvP an not have to worry where your next fleet BS is coming from...

makes me wounder the percentage of in game currency these types have and exactly how much of an impact the use of their wealth has on the game... interesting stuff, especially when you think about people like this in the real world..

3 characters making POS fuel will get you just short of 1 bil/month in income with very little effort. So hop to it and buy lots of shiny ships to get blown up - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

Hmmm.. so with 3 characters you make enough isk for 3 plex... which could pay for the month of having 3 characters. Doesn't sound very efficient. In this scenario I would just buy PLEX from CCP, do zero grinding, and call it an instant billion +. My recommendation: look into scamming.

BTW - Those top guys have a huge impact on the economy, I think. I saw a market manipulator jack the Jita market for Gallente Jump Freighters for a week or two. The wallet that can pull off something like that is fearsome. |

He probably means 3 characters in one account all trained for PI.

When I started in '05 1B was rich. Somewhere along the line 1B became fairly common and 10B was rich, and around tyrannis I realized 100B is really the new standard for being a rich player. 100B is rich, 1T is elite, and I'd guess the tip top players are around 10T (RMT bosses, monied alliance guys, uber T2 BPO holders and traders, ect).
I'd guess 10B puts you in the top 10%, 100B in the top 1-3%, 1T is definitely top .1%-1%, and 10T would probably be top 10-100 players. I'm talking personal assets, totally excluding corp/alliance owned stuff.
