its doing it again same spot
201.126.245.83 packetexchange just happened, said 26k players connected.
then click login entering game, etc, BOOM crash to desktop server status unknown

For me, the two times this has happened, packets always stop at packetexchange.net.
However, I am very suspicious of the new flow control hardware that seems to have been installed around the same time this started happening. Furthermore, its job is to modify routes, and the problem we are having seems to be with bad routes.
Bottomline is that it is either a problem with Eve's routing stuff (in which case they need to fix that), or it is a recurring problem with their partners (in which case, they need to work with their partners to get this fixed).

Packetexchange is where the server is physically located (or it was last I checked). Packetexchange is Level3's peering point in the UK. Someone at CCP will be able to rattle their cage if its a recurring issue.

Saw problems connecting from Comcast in US through PacketExchange as well. It looked like someone may have been messing with PX's routes, since I saw some of their address range getting announced out of an AsiaPac ISP. I wrote up what I saw last night here.
Does CCP support dedicated private line connections into the cluster? ;)

Hey folks been on the phone with the ISP's and there connection buddies to find out what the issues is and so far from what i am getting is there is a series of Node failures in the US net and its communications with the EU net and every time one Node crashes it triggers a string of shutdowns now mind you im no tech but i have a mouth and attitude that usually gets answers from these people hopefully this small bit of info helps ya some
