So I log onto to Teamspeak and was told to log on to EvE asap undock in TEG and bubble the station. The next thing I know I'm being targeted by all my "friends" that I've flown with for so long. I then realize that I'm trapped in my own bubble and that all my "friends" were neutral to me. A dramiel being piloted by my BEST FRIEND (who I've drank beer with on TS late at night during roams) warp scrambles me. Local explodes with "Burn the witch" and "bye-bye-spai."
In this incredible moment it all comes to me. I've been removed from BDEAL and was accused of being a spy. I get podded and jump clone back into teg. I troll local a little and someone nice from BDEAL decides to help me out and jump my stuff to the nearest low sec system for me.
Contract is accepted he flies my stuff out in a carrier, I know his destination in that carrier. No matter how expsnive my HAC's and dicts were and faction modules aboard his carrier, I decided it was time for BDEAL to eat ****. I contact red alliance and give them the quick story about me, being kicked for being a spy and that there's a carrier headed to low sec.
Boom Big Deal loses a carrier.
I became what I was accused of being. I AM A PL SPY!

The best part of all of this, is that 1) we never had a BDEAL spy (you aren't worth spying on just FYI) and 2) Every single NC spy we had got burned in the forum leak.
Awesome.

Yeah if PL was involved it'd be more like "PL spy announces midpoint destination for carrier fleet, no survivors recovered after hotdrop"
Not to be a PL lapdog but wasting a spy for a carrier would be...a waste.
ITT OP probably gets kicked and killed (hilariously) for being a jerk, then confirms suspicions that he is one.

I wasn't bad data, they told me to undock so they coudl pop me. They knew I wouldn't check to see if I was booted from alliance. Who logs onto to EvE and checks if they've been booted from their alliance while being told to undock and bubble the station from "their alliance."

I don't see the problem here. She trusted and worked with people, and they turned on her in an instant, no questions, no judge, no jury, just podded. Sounds like someone lost a loyal member and made an enemy for life. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and space...is cold.

btu on the other hand, some poor guy was trying to help you, most likely because he didnt believe you were a spy and disagreed with what happened. you replayed his kindness with getting his ship popped because you were butt hurt.
congrats, you are just as bad as the company you kept.

He kept the collateral that almost certainly was higher than the ships worth.
He was a jerk for backstabbing the guy willing to help him and fool to put this in the forum where it will be forever available to people searching his background but he didn't lose anything from the ships destruction. .

That's not a scam. A scam is when you sell a Raven as a CNR in Jita. What you did was just douchebaggery, so don't try to turn this into something heroic. The fact that you're actually proud of this tells a lot about your character.

I am proud. Backstabbed by my friends you get backstabbed back. I didn't do that PERSONALLY to him I did to the alliance. Consider "collateral damage."

This. I even made corp/alliance different colors from the default so that I could tell people with good standing from corp-mates from alliance-mates, and I never, _ever_ set my own corp/alliance to blue. I've seen issues like this coming before, and only trust people that I physically drink with on frequent occasions.
And that's not because my drinking buddies are trustworthy, it's because their inevitable betrayal turns into a funny story over a pint later instead of an in-game grudge, so it's more entertaining to throw caution to the wind there. ---

It can not be just me that lives in a semi-major city in a well populated island that has ZERO other Eve Online players, and yet this thread has had many replies talking about only trusting people they drink with (foolish to trust those you drink with as they end up nicking more cigarettes than you get back anyway!!, without adding the skill books or freighter time you "lend" them).
But good story though. Shame you thought it wise to sacrifice the freighter pilot before he dropped off your stuff, should have waited after.
Hope you're still in station so you can mess up their market. Use a spare Jump Clone.
Good luck.

Hey Salad
Nice story you have - as part of BDEAL I can tell you that you're not important enough to be mentioned in any command discussion whatsoever. And even if we most likely got spies nobody really cares unless there are absolutely no doubt.
I'm sorry to hear that you backstabbed someone trying to help you, but for whatever reason your corporation didn't like you I hope you get to find some new friends on these forums instead.

Never heard of a scam in EvE?

Pretty much what the guys have said If screed over someone who accused you of spying kudos to you.
But screwing the one guy over that helped you out because he thought the people were ****s to you that is really low.
Even for Eve even for scam and cheat that is just you being a total **** and really would never accept a guy like you into the corp. Not even freaking noob mission running one.
For any normal individual your character name if you did not post this on an alt should be a red flag and don' t recruit. Pod |

I would like to point out, as pinky said Saladinae was removed from his corp due to suspicious activities.
Alliance leadership was not aware of any of it until after the fact as we generally keep out of our member corp's business.
After some quick questions Saladinae was removed because of multiple reasons. Firstly, He was last active with the alliance during providence, he disappeared for several months, comes back looking for an in with a new corp. A corp accepted him and noticed his odd behavior. For instance only logging on during posted ops. Being on op comms but not on the op, Never ratting/mining or doing anything to generate isk yet being able to affort the terrible fit ships.
At any rate. I do not claim to know or accuse him of being a spy. All I know is that his corporation had reason to believe and made the call to give him the boot. It happens not much sweat off of my back.
Also I would like to note that there has been no BDEAL carrier loss. That Saladinae is indeed making **** up and very much mad. I'm not sure what the point in making a thread on the eveo forum's and then falsifying revenge does. But whatever floats your boat bro..
Good Riddance. Easy Co. |

You mean like feigning sympathy to get a kicked member to contract you all their stuff and jump it to empire. Then claiming your method of transport was destroyed and keeping said assets to melt down or put on the market?
Nope, never heard of a scam in Eve.

That's not a scam. A scam is when you sell a Raven as a CNR in Jita. What you did was just douchebaggery, so don't try to turn this into something heroic. The fact that you're actually proud of this tells a lot about your character.
And the fact that you're actually using an internet spaceships game forum to read into HIS character tells us a lot about yours

There are 3 kind of *******s in MMO's 1) is an ******* because the game forces you to (see ultima online for case reference). 2) is roleplaying a character that behaves like an *******. 3) is being an ******* because he can get away with it in game unlike in RL. Usually this type is a prick in RL as well and likely hangs out in a crowd that likes stalking school kids for their lunch moneys.
Take your pick but you cannot leave behind what you really are no matter how much you claim that you're "just playing a game".

It may surprise you to learn that while many of us like to play our mains as good natured, forthright, trustworthy individuals (because that is how we tend to try and be in RL and it is more comfortable to spend the majority of our gaming time that way), we also often have a secret alt that is a low down, dirty, back stabbing, stone cold killer for those "special times" when we just don't feel like giving a damn.
Your link between in game and out of game personality similarities is dubious to say the least. ===== The world will not end in 2012, however there will be a serious nerf to Planetary Interaction. |

And what does it tell you? Seriously, please explain, I'm curious.
Besides, since the OP isn't roleplaying here, we actually can draw conclusions from his behavior on the forums û note that the most important parts of this sentence are highlighted in bold and italic for your convenience; also note that I never said we could draw conclusions from his behavior ingame (though we might; opinions differ on this issue).
