It is simple. If the amount of minerals mined drops too low CCP can up the mining yield or increase the amount of roids. They did it the last time there was a mass ban of bots to even out the market. They did it once, they can do it again.
And yeah, bots will always attempt to come back, this is why the security team is implementing the "slow burn" approach to keep the bots consistently dead and unprofitable.
I don't know where, I don't know when... but something awful is going to happen xD |

a bit back to topic after reading more about this ban hammer, "slow burn", market crisis
I think EVE community is more than ready for this ban hammer, just look at what the PI introduction done to the market, after 6 months I'd say the market for PI products stabilized itself, so will the mineral market.
This bot shakedown will actually drive people to create/join indi corps - as from perspective of a new player in EVE, mining could be lucrative option again.
Killing the rat-bots will reduce the RMT problem and less petitions. I'm sure that CCP sees her gain in this move of ban hammer as any business company they calculate their gain before taking a move.

I Dont think botting is cheating. (*Or Macro mining anyway not to sure how i feel about ratters ect)
personaly i think it's playing the game differently. if you can write a macro that can beat players that shows some skill.
I Do realise it is against the rules. and therefore wouldnt do it.
But that doesnt stop me admiring the people who can write these.
