This is a massive injustice and an overly broad application of the TOS as what constitutes ethnically offensive is not clearly defined. Not only is it not clearly defined, it CANNOT be clearly defined as there are literally an infinite number of things that may cause offense to a particular ethnic group. For example my ethnic group is deeply offended at any mention of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_of_Tears and Native American relocation in general. Will a GM ban someone I don't like for linking to such topics in local? I think not.
This situation is unacceptable as too much is left to the discretion of capricious GMs who have shown themselves in the past to be less than impartial. A clear guide is needed so that we as players might smack in local without the danger of being banned by some diligent GM.

Whats the big deal? Just keep it out of local and no one will be offended. I personally am not interested in reading about the holocaust or WW2 in EvE Online. Had to study that stuff in school for years (as all germans do).

Exactly. This should not be a big deal yet a player was banned for linking to an article about history.
Since when should we keep anything out of local? It's a chat channel like any other.
