Well,
Sreegs and Claudio seem to be hard at work. Of the Bots I have been following, about 70% are currently MIA. We shall see in the following weeks if they stay dead, but so far so good.
More bot nests to root out and more respawns to hunt down, but this is a promising turn of events. Hunting bots and reporting them is the new Pv...mech. Playing a part in the final death of a bot account is more rich than spending hours hunting low-sec for a gank.
When they die, they really die; bot tears are the most deliciously rusty.

This is a genuine post and not a cruel April Fools hoax aimed at those of us desperate to see a curb in botting, right?

Apparently CCP banned < 1,000 botting accounts at Fanfest, and have assembled a team and are introducing a report bot function, as well as reverse engineering botting programs and looking at technical detection a lot more.

Living on the space prairie for several years with only a kettle and can of beans as company makes you think about God and His infinite creation.
Bots?
Heck; I wouldn't tell the difference even if it drank my morning coffee and told me a bad joke, if you know what I mean. And I think that you do.

Were they mining, courier, or 0.0 ratting bots?

< = less than...
If you wanted to write "more than", then: CCP banned > 1000 However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

Primarily courier with one miner. As I mentioned, it remains to be seen if they will return (and I have no direct evidence that they were banned), but it does seem curious that they all seem to have winked out of existence over the same span of about three days. An alternate explanation may also be that folks are laying low for fear of being banned.
We shall see if they return and in what time frame. There are several new toons running courier missions in Bestowers out of the same stations, but I do not know if they are replacements. I simply haven't put the time into observing their routes and activity levels.
Although I have been pretty sharply critical of CCP on this issue, my initial and highly preliminary conclusion is that there does appear to be something noticeable going on. Has anyone else noticed similar patterns?
