Do you think it would be a cool idea to convert drone space into normal ore cargo space.
such as on the thorax, if you didnt want to use drones - you should be able to convert drone space to cargo space - otherwise it gets wasted.
I like killing NPC pirates, and picking up loot but i dont use drones, would be great if there was an option to convert unused drone space to cargo so i could pick up more loot.

I don't think it's a good idea.
If u do that you could simple drop the difference between drone and cargo space at all and say all is cargo space and u may fill it with drones and/or cargo
problems:
1. you reduce the diversity of space ship models. Now there are carriers (large drone bay) and non carriers ( often larger cargo bay) and some in the middle.
2. drones might become imballanced. You might fit dozens of drones in one ship.
Anyway, even if ccp only implements the drone to cargo space change, point 1 is still valid and in my oppinion it's bad to do that. We need more different ship models, not less. ;)

Whoa - this would turn the Thorax into an indy with awesome defense and firepower (for an indy, that is!). ;)

Interesting idea... but it won't happen..
Drone space on a thorax isn't wasted if you have 8 heavy drones ;-)

I agree it would change the ship balance, but if Reverse Engineer is ever put in. Then we should be able to make those type of changes to any reseversible BP.

The most drones someone can use is 10, and that is with 2 level 5 trained skills.
If you could fit 100 drones in your drone-bay, you'd still only be able to use 10 max. Of course, you'd have a nice supply on hand for when they got destroyed.
