I have gone through patching and updating the client 4 times. Everytime I have to do a manual download because the auto updater trys to download 4gb at 80k/s. WTF CCP?

disable the cache. It will then check what is there against what should be there. some times the cache gets messed up.

Can you please check, which build-number is displayed in the top-left corner of the login screen and to which server you are trying to connect?
I used both the SisiLauncher and the auto-patch from yesterday's version (which was not fully public as the patches were mostly missing) without any problem. Auto-patch is currently only possible from yesterday's build and from the current TQ build as this is release candidate and there are no direct patches created from test-builds to release candidates. SisiLauncher should work in any case.
A 4 GB download would be a full installer and not a patch - probably you were trying to patch a test-build, which results in the full installer being offered.

Edited by: Ilse Oogvaria on 02/04/2011 21:41:28 confirming that the link for tranq patch to sisi for mac users appears broken - nothing starts to download. However - http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php link is at least downloading a patch. Gonna take over half an hour to download so kinda hope it isn't another fail :s
Please CCP check your links are working. Better to have a msg saying "sorry patch link unavailable, hope to have back up by XXX" than a fail link to nowhere. It is not as if you should be unaware of links failing - this forum keeps telling you about them! Links to patches or patches themselves can fail - I get that. This is work in progress, I totally understand. What I find so frustrating is that time and time again we get fail links, people telling you the links are fail and no CCP response. If Chruka can get a link to work, why can't CCP get their own link to work on their own website?! At very least own up, acknowledge the issue when told it is failing and state it as broken on your patch page so we don't waste our time. ty
Edit: is that too harsh, CCP Habakuk? :s Don't mean to be, I kinda like you. Just frustrated at links with missing patches!

Yeah, after the lastest patch, my fully updated Sisi client tried to connect to TQ, I had to force it with a shortcut and the /server:87.237.38.50 option.
That's the first time it happened since I started using the wonderful SisiLauncher many weeks ago. ____________________________________________

Ilse Oogvaria: The "Download TQ to Singularity Patch" link is indeed broken, it assumes that this is a test-build and not a release candidate (it includes "test" in the link). I've a reminder written to follow-up on this on Monday...
Don Pellegrino: If you are starting the client through SisiLauncher it adds /server:Singularity automatically. If you start the client directly, then you need the change the shortcut, as release candidates try to connect to TQ.
