I know that it is possible to bring orca's and freighters into a c2, but how about others like dreads and carriers? I can build any of them In there I know but is it possible to move them out if I get a WH to low sec?

Nope...
If you build a Capital ship inside a WH less than about C5-6, it's going to live there until the day it dies.
Hence why so many ads here on forums say "WTS C1 with Rorq" or some such. |

Don't build a capital in a C1-C4 unless you really plan to never ever leave. Even then, think really long and hard about it. Not only can they not leave, but they attract the wrong kind of attention (we found out the hard way).
I self-destructed a Rorqual in a C2 (statics: hisec + C3) when I moved out to another C2 (statics: hisec + C4), because I was too lazy to try to sell it and the system. I'm now in a C5, and I bought another Rorqual in lowsec and jumped it into nulsec where a random wormhole into the system was. I can at least get this one out again!

Pretty sure you're not getting a freighter into anything under C5 either. M55 I think is the smallest and thats HI->C5
Orca is the largest ship that will go through C2-4.

I don't know the mechanics so could you explain. Wasn't there a way you could jump your Rorq into a C3, then a C4 and then out into null-sec and onto empire?
I know it would be a pain but is that possible or doesn't a 'large enough' WH open up in < C4?

No, there is no way for a WH with enough mass limit to open to anything smaller than a C5, I believe, that has enough mass to let in a capital ship of any type. Grab a WH tool like Unknown's WH Tool and you can look at all the WH types and mass limits. C4 and less and you build your caps, not to mention, caps would be able to siege the lower systems. Thank goodness they can't. Wormholes, Asteroids, Profit! |

Way off topic...
The main reason for me to build a carrier in a C1->4 isnt that its a OMGCAPSHIP. Sure the extra DPS/RR etc etc is nice, but it's not really needed in a C4. It's because it's the only thing in the game that can do (to the best of my knowledge) Deep safes. What price do you put on awesome bookmarks, not awesome 2500AU awesome but still way better than regular "safes" which are not safe at all.
The off axis (vertical) bookmarks as far up or down as your system is wide. Got a system 100AU from the sun to its furthest celestial? Awesome, now you make 120AU bookmarks with your carriers fighters.
Log in your carrier and a scanning alt (deepspace probes are awesome for this)assign fighters to your scanning alt, wait 10 seconds, then abandon them. Start scanning.
Try one at a time for starters, I think you only have 5 minutes (rumour) to find them.
