Edited by: Baron Xad on 06/02/2005 06:21:12 Now last night I was working on some math with some t2 industrials, specifically the Impel. Please correct me if I'm wrong. (Note all numbers are approximate)
I'm using passive targetters to compress the trit into smallest space possible, about 10k per 5m3 cargo.
I'm getting approx:
~31000m3 (Impel cargo with t2 expanders) 5m3 (space 1 passive targetter holds) ~10000 (approx trit in 1 passive targetter)
Now I did:
(31000/5) (number of passive targetters in hold maximum) x 10000 (Total trit in hold when compressed)
So I got ~62000000 pieces of trit can be crammed into an Impel if they're compressed into passive targetters.
Now using 10 giant secure cans (900m3 extra added per can) I get ~40000m3 cargo total, compressed about 80000000 pieces of trit can be crammed into one Impel.
(I know its not really practical, but the sheer amount of trit is amazing.)
Please correct me if I messed up at all.

This thread must surely be a contender for the "WTF are you talking about........ahhhh, you sneaky little *******" prize. What a great idea

yeah convert trit into passive targeters a.k.a. make passive targeters and u can haul about 10 times more trit. u loose a bit of trit when u reprocess the targeters but who cares, u just spared yourself 9 hauls :)

A really interesting idea, but what is the manufacturing time for all them passive targeters? ---

Don't worry. That trick has been around since the early days. It takes time and planning and good refining skills, and the factory slot rentals and multiple passive targeter BPOs have to be added into the equation. It's perhaps not as easy as it first seems to make it pay off.

Don't get mad at him, it's well known but only really good if you have a strong empire indy side to your corp and need to get lots of trit to 0.0.

Edited by: Scimatar Wolff on 07/02/2005 20:26:40 I have allso bean doing some calculations on the t2 indys.
I used three equations to calculate the cargoholdsize off the old itreon mk5, the new gallente indy and the new amarr indy.
The equation for itreon mk5: 6000x^5*1,05^5
The equation for the new gallente indy: 5000x^6*1,05^5
The equation for the new amarr indy: 4000x^7*1,05^5
x=the expandingfactor off the expanders used. (20% would give x=1,20) 6000/5000/4000 is the normal cargoholdsize off the indys. 1,05^5 is the skillbonus.
from these equations i calculated this: if one got expanders less then 20% the best indy to use is the old itreon mk5. (cargo less then 19.054,782m3) if one got expanders better then 20% the best indy to use is the new gallente indy. (cargo 19.054,782m3) if one got expanders better then 25% the best indy to use is the new amarr indy. (cargo 24.343,139m3)
(these calcs have only taken cargoseze into acount, so the speedpenelty off the expanders may cause extreme low speeds)
Hope this can help someone

omg, i cant believe some ppl still do the math like this... 25% more cargo bonus= cargo*1.25 NOT *1.05^5, that doesnt even make sense, im going to check if that has changed, but i dont think so.

I was waiting for someone to spot the error. Dred ftw.

I guess you are right there about the bonus. (i know 25% is 1,25 and not 1,05^5, but i didnt know that the skillbonuses were calculated by ading the precentagevalue.) Eaven tho the bonuses are wrong (and therby allso the cargosizes) the points where one indy gets better then one other is still the same as in my previous post. =A= Live Long and Prosper =A= |
