Hey, I notice this system keeps coming up in the QEN and I wanted to know if it was all epic arc missioners or if there's some actual market going on. Because the main agent is in space things tend to be really spread out between the stations here...
I'm just looking for some thoughts on the market there, if one exists at all.
Thanks. :)

So you're saying that it doesn't count as a "real" market unless there's no reason for all those people to be there?

I'm not going to try to nitpick this reply. I see my OP was pretty loaded/biased.
I guess I could rephrase:
Please compare Jita to Cat to Arnon. How does each function and why does each function as it does?

Arnon has a storyline/epic arc agent (sisters of EVE) and most of the Couster graduates go there after they finish the tutorial agents so I guess this could have something to do with it.

Pretty much every person in Eve goes to Arnon at least once. That would seem a good reason for there to be a market there.

I'll have to look over my trade numbers, but I have good reason to believe that there are hundreds of people attempting the Sisters arc each week. The final showdown with the big bad of the arc probably consumes the most resources. It's supposed to be the most lethal mission. Someone could run the rest of the arc with a decent frigate or destroyer only to fail hard on this mission. Arnon always shows up on the maps screen as a hot spot of player ship losses. People also frequently change strategy or upgrade the ship to a beefy cruiser. That often means buying some new modules and ammo.

Don't forget burning down the hive. People die there. A lot.

how does it function? compared to cat and jita (maybe not cat...)
eddit: ok: what I'm getting at is that the arnon market is distributed between a lot of different systems (as cat seems to be - I used to buy stuff there for reprocessing) whereas Jita is one hub and of course those other ****ing stations that can't be filtered out. So... given that the agent in Arnon is in space it results in this really screwwed up system where there's no hub, you still have to fly around to get all your crap...
Am I right here?
