if you aggro a -5, and he replies, do sentries respond and finish him off ?

As far as I know everybody has the right to defend himself from attack. So the sentries wont help you if you attack him first.
Then again CCP hates pirate guts so I wouldn't be surprised if they toasted the outlaw.

Yes. Sucks in my opinion, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

It was a good question though.
It used to be the case that if you fired on -5 player the sentries would not attack you, but if they fired back the sentries would attack them (assuming your sec > -5).
When did it change?
(That situation only came about when criminal flagging was first introduced, and if it has been fixed already I am not surprised - it was wrong!)

aah this is good news, i was bored to death not being able to aggro anyone else, my sec. stat being a -4.9... This might actually increase my pvp opportunities =DD
