Edited by: Kelduum Revaan on 12/04/2011 23:52:39 EVE University was formed just over 7 years ago, and for that time we have flown NRDS (Not Red, Don't Shoot) in all but a handful of circumstances, meaning we have had to wait for potential hostile parties to take the first move, and putting our members at somewhat of a disadvantage in NullSec and W-space.
Over these past few years we have built a significant standings list with well over 600 parties, and maintain an open NAP policy meaning that any group may request blue standings from us regardless of their previous actions toward EVE University, which means that we are now in the position to change from NRDS to NBSI (Not Blue, Shoot It) in NullSec and Wormhole Space.
Effective as of 2011.04.16 00:01 EVE time, EVE University will be flying NBSI in NullSec and W-space with some limitations - typically non-combat ships (Shuttles, Haulers, Barges etc) will not be engaged first if neutral, however other neutrals may still be engaged at the discretion of the Fleet Commander.
Our limitations on access to NullSec will not change, and members are restricted to NPC NullSec with the Great Wildlands, Curse, Syndicate and Outer Ring regions open to E-UNI members.
Groups who have encountered us in these regions in the past are encouraged to contact an E-UNI diplomat to arrange a NAP. Our RoE in HiSec and LowSec and policy of neutrality remains unchanged - we still do not get involved with the actions of any third parties, but will not hesitate to defend ourselves as before.
If you have a question about this, please feel free to contact either myself or our Director of Public Relations.
Now for a quick request: There have been some negative comments toward E-UNI recently, so while I am here, I will also use this opportunity to request that anyone who has an issue with EVE University itself, how we operate, what we teach or the actions of a member, then please let me or Irdalth Delrar know. You can do so privately via EVEMail or post here and I can address your problem.
