(numbers are approx. and are subject to fit ingame requirements)
+ 5 slots on station
+ if all slots are rented, number of slots increases after a time period (eg. 1 week) up to 10 slots
+ this continues up to 25 maximum slots
+ same idea applies for decreasing of slots
+ with every slot rented on station, rental fee goes up
eg: 1 slot rented on station: 1000isk/day/slot
25 slots rented on station: 1000000isk/day/slot
what these changes do:
you cant fly around renting all slots, cause there arent all slots available (they are rented or not enabled)
you can rent. eg. 5 slots and will have to wait a week to get the next 5 slots
you will try to keep your factory slot count low, cause every slot rented on station will increase cost
corporations wont rent up all slots on a station cause this will cost 25 million isk / day
stations at good locations will be rented out for sure, but with a cost of 1 million isk/slot/day you will rent only one slot at the good spot and other slots at stations with less factory slots in use to keep costs low.

How about just give everyone one factory slot and one Lab slot that they can always access at any station with factory or research facilities, respectively. If CCP still insists on charging people for these slots, there can be a per batch charge of say 500 isk. or a per run charge of 2500 isk regardless of how many batches.

get used to seeing none around. its not a perfect game, its not a perfect world. how about they supply you with a battle ship bp as well so you can fly a bigger ship. earn you money , do the deals and youll eventually get what you want

Well you guys need to go look at the proposed station solution. If you haven't produced anything after one rental period IT WILL NOT be renewed to you and will be free to the public. That's right people are going to have to start using their slots. So please see if you can improve upon the already made solution.

I think the new proposal will make a lot of difference.
I dont have aproblem with people having lots of slots if they use them but the big issue is people just renting them to stop others doing so.
There should also be a limit to the amount you can rent which should be reliant on the mass production skill. However it should have a modifier so if you can run 5 factories you should be able to rent 8.
The market is quite stale at the moment and more manafacturers will mean more goods, and more competition.
