Just revived this email. not sure how or where they found my address.
Quote: You have chosen to transfer your character ******* to the account named wildimp. We are currently processing this transfer. The character you are transferring will remain on your account, but will not be playable during this time. You will need to complete the transfer after 7:51 AM on 04/14/2011. To complete the transfer, log in to Account Management. <- http: //secure-eve.online.cm/login.aspxReturnUrl2fAccountManMenu.aspx3faid3d103543aid193543.htm
If you did not initiate this character transfer, please file a petition<- http: //secure-eve.online.cm/login.aspxReturnUrl2fAccountManMenu.aspx3faid3d103543aid193543.htm to Customer Support and do not complete the transfer. If you have any questions, you may browse the EVE Knowledge base <- http: //secure-eve.online.cm or email [email protected] <-http: //secure-eve.online.cm/login.aspxReturnUrl2fAccountManMenu.aspx3faid3d103543aid193543.htm and one of our customer support representatives will be happy to assist you.
Take care with these.

***.cm
there you go!
The valid adress ends of course with .com and not .cm
So yes, phishing! |

This has been reported previously and updated on the Protect Your Accounts forum thread. That being said, a reminder when these start again is never a bad thing.
Two things we would ask of anyone reporting such an issue is that you mail [email protected] and submit a petition with the details.
If you do want to bring it to the forums to alert other players, we would please ask that you do not provide a full link in your post.
Thanks!

I've had plenty of these for wow, which I quit when I found EVE somewhere in 2006-2007, but for some reason my e-mail has been plagued with "account status blah blah" - emails which is kind of funny because I did try to access my ancient account and found out I should had transferred it to battle.net account ages ago so I can't even login the game anyway.
Those e-mails source according to IP was somewhere in china, if that helps anyone.

Just out of curiosity, did you guys ever use Epsilon Interactive for anything? I realize these phishing scams are quite common for eve players, but I'm just curious really... - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

What are you people up to to get these emails?
Do you not use any filtering whatsoever?
Seriously, in six years of playing, I have never seen anything like the crap you people are constantly receiving. At least in my inbox.

sometimes they makei t passed the filtering. i keep getting ones for wow even though i only ever had a trial account that i never actually logged in with 4 years ago before i found eve, and every now and then one will make it through the filter. and just yesterday i got one for rift, which was promptly deleted and added to my filter.

They sign up for fansites and such, then said sites "lose" a bunch of information because some internet nerd doesn't know wtf he was doing when he coded the site...same way people get their accounts hacked on MMOs for the most part, but those are the exceptionally dumb, using the same credentials on some fansite that they used to play said game... - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

I love it how people try to mask the fact they played wow by saying " i only played a trial, i only played before i found eve" out of fear of embarrassment and public forum ridicule. Hehe!
Now we have that out of the way, Filters don't solve the problem as phishing email creators design them to evade filters. so saying l2filter is mute.
