Any threads or other posts anyone can point to with specific corroborated info on these and their use in game ?
Preferrably from people who have experience using them and not just heard of a friend of a friends experience please
Thanks

Lets see, they can only be deployed in 0.0 space and require a specific anchoring and propulsion jamming skill (forget the numbers).
Anything inside the bubble cannot warp out, regardless of WCSs.
It can be unreliable at times, sometimes forcing targets out of warp hundreds of KM away from the bubble, other times people fly right through them. Occasionally they do catch someone, where they stop right at the disruptor. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Yep what he said is more or less right, but a few things you can watch for.
If they drop out of warp 100's of km away from the gate they still tend to drop out in more or less the same place. So if the bubble tends to drop people 120km out, it will always drop people 120km out. So put a frig or two there and you'll catch most of the guys that try and make it though.
Relating to the same thing. If for instance in the above example you warped to the gate at 60 rather then 15km, the bubble will drop you out at 165km. Wierd but thats the way it works. Camp them long enough and you'll find people droping out at one location frequently, and anouther, 15km further out less frequently. One (the closer one) will be people stopped trying to warp the an insta. The outher will be people stopped trying to warp to the gate at 15.
Anyways, the whole point was to say that, when the bubble drops people a long ways out, it will at least be at a consisant distance. Unless your useing more then one, then things tend to get wierder.

Does the Bubble have to beat the Warp Strenght of traget to pull it out of Warp? "The object of war is not to die for your corp, but to make the other b@##@#d die for his" |

Not shameless bumping... another question for the warp bubble specialist out there ... can it be used between 2 gates in the middle of space to pull people out of warp on their warp path... ie at a sec loc specifically designed for this on the warp path bewteen 2 gates ? or can it only be used at gates ???
Thanks for your answers up to now

I like the random factor of warp bubbles, after all they disrupt the normal warp pattern of a ship. Makes it a bit more realistic than just having a standard warp drop out point.

Oh and you can't set them up at a random spot between gates to make ships drop out of warp where you want them to, although it would be cool.
You'll need to buy an Interdictor (I think thats the name) Star Destroyer for that, but they where only available a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
