Hi
I just logged in to find that when I clicked my portrait it said I was flagged for a character re-customization, but I never paid for any such service so I am confused as to why this has happened, has anybody else had this or is there some free wave of recustomizations going around? or is it just an error on their part? there is nothing in my e-mail about it

I recently created this guy who had an intentionally goofy face, do you think CCP saw it and took pity and wanted to offer me the chance to make a proper portrait?

The type he's talking about is not free to everyone, it would have been free to everyone when they altered the character creator.
The ingame (station) one which is free to all characters can't alter facial and body structure or skin tone.
Now that there is an ingame one there probably is no reason to give free ones at the login screen when they update the character creator, unless it's a major overhaul of the creator.

Yep its free.
When we upgraded the character creator with scars, tattoos and stuff, we decided to give everyone a chance to remake their characters.
So everyone gets a single "recreate my character" at character selection.
Then we felt a bit crazy and wanted people to be able to use our stuff more often (we've put a bit of work into this you see) and so made an in-station service - a changing room basically which lets you change clothing, hair, tats etc - that you can use whenever you want for free.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Also, never look directly into the eyes of a 6' 6" Minmatar Brutor, because that is taken as a sign of challenge and he will kill you.

I don't want to go "all Amarrian on yo ass", but how about looking a 6'6" gift Minmatar Brutor in the eyes?
