there was a thread on here a couple months ago about how they were going for under the reprocessing price in Lonetrek
i bought one back when i first could fly them and loved the tank, just hated the dps. the caldari really got screwed on their HACs

Well, there's the "Sniper Eagle" fit that reaches across the battlefield and touches smaller craft in a nasty way, and there's the "Beagle" fit where DPS is at least halfway decent...

Munnin/Zealot and Vaga/Sac are where it's at.
Cerb & Ishtar are decent but Eagle & Deimos are pants.
As usual CCP fails at ship balance

If you think some ships should be underpowered, just remove them, alot easier. Just make sure you are not confusing balanced with all equal, because it is not the same.

well....
about seven months ago, i was flying with Goshee/The Tools rookie empire looking for war targets. we were all in frigates because there were some sixty guys on trial accounts and about four guys in t2/3 awesome.
we're camping a gate, us and our forty griffins, and then this guy shows up in an eagle at 200k.
my thoughts go 'ok, he might be hostile but he's too far.... why am i in a pod?'

Last time when I saw an Eagle was when I sold mine a few months back. Built it myself and didn't even bother trying to use it.
I had to wait for a week until it finally sold, and in that time the price had fallen by 10 million ISK.
I didn't mind, I had pilfered and stolen most of the materials for it, so I still made a good profit. |

a week or two ago somebody in corp chat mentioned a nearby low sec gate camp in progress and one of the ships was an eagle
we discussed jumping in and popping the eagle...just because they were flying an eagle

I flew one back when shieldtanked sniperhacs were roaming FOTM. Even though being shieldtanked sniper is supposedly eagle's role it still sucked badly compared to zealot |

Somebody did bait me in his passive beagle 2.5 years ago, to be fair this was the time QR went live and I was guessing it was somebody that just tried out the AB HAC thing in a cheap way, a lot of people did back in this days.

No balance job offer on CCP job board. They must think the situation is fine...
Closest is Senior Game Designer but the offer doesn't speak of balance specifically. So don't hold your breath, CCP doesn't care.

ive never seen anyone flying an eagle. bar me. i lost it in half an hour of buying it 3 years ago, never bought one since.
i aint sure if its the ship, or blasters in general. it deffinatly needs looking at.

While the diemost is quite fail for PvP, it is simply amazing at belt ratting. It is faster than an Ishtar.

I'd expect a ship designed for PvP should actually be useful in PvP. A perfect balance is impossible to achieve but when some ships are so useless in combat that nobody flies them at all I definitely think there is a problem.
As the above poster said, the Deimos does at least excel at ratting against Guristas. The Eagle doesn't even manage that much.
