fpshacker is mad, couldn't have happened to a nicer douche.
I don't know how to feel about this, on the one hand he killed a bot. On the other hand he is a prime example of ***gotry.

The hard point is knowing whether or not it is a bot or not. The guy accused of botting in general doesn't look like a bot to me from the killboard. Sure, he has only 1 kill, but he has a lot of standings with various different agents, including random level 1s etc. His fits change overtime and when he died to privateers he had stabs fitted. This doesn't look like the actions of a bot to me, but rather a PVE focused player. He was in a wormhole corp for a decent period of time (and I find it unlucky that a guy would bot there because of no local and sleepers).
usually bots are created for a specific purpose and the fact that he has cross trained, joined WH corp and done WHs, run missions, and now in the DRs says to me that it's not a bot.
However, we simply don't know the facts, he could have been botting, who knows. Foxnews24 isn't really something you can count on when it comes to accuracy though, seems like a dumb propaganda/troll piece designed to make anti-bot pubbies froth at the mouth. ---

None of the people in the screenshots I lifted from a botting forum where the idiots forgot to obscure their names I used for a /petition look like they're botters either using that same methodology.... - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

Thats true, some people probably bot when they're not actually playing eve. There isn't a whole lot of proof that this is actually a bot though... It's just a witch-hunt unless any solid proof is presented (like those screenshots) which FPShacker apparently acted upon. Until such proof materialised, using this as some kind of ******ed propaganda piece against PL is stupid.
Unfortunately a lot of readers here apparently watch Fox news. ---

Now I'm leaning towards fpshacker being a major douche in general.

Interesting options in that bot, if NPC scrambling were to count as aggression that would fix one logoffski method for bots.

It doesn't matter if this was a bot or not. From what I read: he killed a blue = easy kill. If he thinks this is a bot then he should petition to CCP and that's it. Standings are made for a clear reason. If someone of our corp/alliance would abuse standings to make some easy kills he would be warned first and then kicked. If he thinks that player X is using a bot then it should be solved internally first. Everything else makes no sense within the standings rules. You can't allow single players to decide who of the blues to shoot or not. This needs to be solved by the leadership and investigated by CCP when petitioned.

Considering that fpshacker only caused 6% of the damage, why all the fuss? The way I see it, he just got in on a kill that would have been totally lost to NPCs otherwise.

The botting pays for the PL merc contract, why wouldn't they be mad?

except the 'bot' could have warped out before it died if not for a warp disruptor. I would say its more likely that this 'bot' died as a direct result of fpshacker's actions

If only the blue killing cost PL the contract, then that would be lolzy. ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Unfortunately CCP stands for Cheaters Constantly Protected. This guy killed the bot, and it WAS a bot... I salute him. Too bad more people don't do this. Botting should have been banned years ago, but the practice is more prevalent than ever.

6% of the damage on a PVE players mail is actually a lot when you consider they have low overall EHP but the rats get put up very high on the mail because you're constantly repping their damage, the guy was likely stable until FPShackers DPS put him over the edge. ---
