Has anyone tried them in lvl4 kill missions? I was thinking of using FOF's for killing frigates fast (no need to target them). How do they choose their targets? Closest, biggest? Frigates usually are fastest ships against you in missions. So they will also be closest ships after warping to area.
My idea is load launchers with FOF's when starting mission. After FOF's has taken down frigates (and maybe some cruisers too) near me I'll change for Torpedos and take down cruisers and battleships.

Don't use FoF and don't use Cruise missiles.
FoF will end up dividing the damage between whatever is the closest ship and leave you no control on killing them.
Torps are much more damaging than Cruise ad kills almost any frigatte in 4 or less shots.
I've tried it and decided to be able to chose my targets.

Additionally, on many missions you want to aggro only one group at a time - FOF missiles you have no control over, which means you will end upp aggro'ing a lot more than you can chew... |

FoF's try to hit the closest enemy, which are usually frigates unless you have closely orbitting other stuff. It's very usefull in missions like Damsel in Distress level 4 to get rid off the frigates at the warp in point.

Yes but not very often. might take out one out of every 5-10 missiles. From my experience anyways.

Does FOF target only ships that agro me? What happens if some frikkin' loot thief comes near me when I'm using FOF's in a mission near gate?
I'm sure going to test FOF's against frigs in some lvl4 missions.
