We are a Indy corp with a few BattleCruisers who've been War Decd by a 4 man team with nothing but Drakes. We're seeking an Alliance with anyone who needs assistance with mining.
3 Orcas 14 Hulks

Edited by: Alphawolves on 26/04/2011 12:29:24 These guys are a liability and Tarrn is a selfish egomaniac with nothing but his own interest (not any alliance's) at heart. Ask the guys at (or were with) Loaded Concrete, or any of the people who have recently left his corp.
I suggest you disregard.
Edit - Bit of a necro but hey, had to be said :D

Hmmmmm.
It kind of depends on how you want to solve this problem you have, Tarrn.
As an alliance asset, 14 hulks and 3 orca's are LOL. It's comparable to offering to bring a gardening trowel to a job that needs to be done by this . But as a corp level asset, 14 hulks might be a small start for a project we have in mind.
It would involve living in-and-out of a wormhole with a static high-sec exit and mining your asses off in grav sites and when there are none, in high-sec. We would also need to recruit another 50 miners in order to make my idea work on any kind of time scale that would make it interesting.
What you would need to do is really two main things:
1) Your team would have to stop mining purely for it's own wallet and start mining for a PURPOSE. It's good to make some isk but what I'm thinking about is a business model that would make miners part of something bigger and more important than just grinding isk for the sake of grinding isk, which is the most boring thing to do in EVE.
To make a long story short, it would involve capital, super-cap and titan production with a multi-year business plan that would make the most active miners rich and the least active would still have their needs in terms of ships, infrastructure, support and so forth covered. Nobody would come off worse for the wear and everyone would be involved in something on a huge scale. I'll be honest with you, though... it wouldn't be all about your own wallet anymore.
It's a little early still but most of the building blocks, in terms of supporting resources, skill sets, management team and starting captial are already in place. What I'm toying with now is when to start with recruiting miners... maybe your post is the hint I've been waiting for. I did read the post from your disgruntled ex-employee so I see a risk in that and I'm not willing to get in bed without checking that out... but on the other hand, a corp without a single disgruntled ex-employee is probably a corp with no vision and not direction too..... so as much as it's a risk, it could also be a sign of something positive.
2) Your corp would need to disband and roll up into something new. This has nothing to do with the wardec but with the need for structure and management. OUr management team have 7 years of eve experience but more than that they have experience in the real-world in managing multi million dollar (and a few billion dollar) projects and these are the skills we'll need to push an eveonline corp of this type into the big-leagues.
3) Obviously, we just LOL at wardecs. The last corp to wardec us thought they were this guy but when we finished with them their true identity was revealed
What do you think of that idea?

Just go mine somewhere else.
or if they have Negative Sec, Hide in 0.5 systems mining low sec ores until they get bored.
Its an nuisance thats all, But do not Disband and create a new corp. that will serve you no purpose what so ever. |
