MAC addresses are trivial to change. The server does not know what your MAC address is. People play the game from different computers. If it's easy to update, someone who's stolen the account will have an easy time as well.
It's just theatre with no useful effect. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

I dont even know where to begin with this one, Mac addr is easily changed. it isnt how ever used to our precious interwebnet.
obviously if your account gets hacked, your login concivable is the same login thats required to register / alter the allowed mac address, soooo you get locked out there too..
also you dont so much pirate this game, the game is a free download. what you do, do is pay to play the game.

fun MAC facts....its a limited data set. Half of the MAC address...is vendor id. Number does not change. Only other half does. This where you get the "unique" id. Take the term "unique mac" with a grain of salt...even ignoring spoofing for the moment.
So....its not unknown for the same MAC to be used twice in a products life cycle or across product lines over years byt the same vendor (remember half the mac does not change...). To offset chance of duplicate macs on the same network segment, they split rerun numbers between regions as best as possible. Asia gets a block sold to em, Europe and US same basically. Theoretically makes chance of dupes on the network very very small. But not impossible. On a joint military op guy I knew got the rare chance to see 2 regions of dupe MACs get on the same network....no network for the lucky contestants till "spoofing" used . Fake mac addresses not showing up on the wire, everyone all happy.
If mac were to cross the wire (it doesn't)....you and your other buddies with same lan card mac address would have endless fun wondering why only eve is broken. This is why its not used for talking with the cloud (take network classes...see pretty picture of networks...see the pretty cloud as its literally drawn that way).
