Is this a known issue? I would have thought that a fix for this would make it into the patch. I have mining drone skill level 3 or 4 and see no ore yield bonus on top of the default for the drone... it should be 5% yield bonus per level of mining drone skill. Please fix this.

Look closer at the skill. Mining drone skill gives bonus to mining drone speed not qty. The skill description says amount but if you check the other tab you will see the attrib affected is miningdronespeed. It will always mine the same amount of ore just mine it faster.

Oh my!
This skill issue is a big deal, as I use mining drones all the time. I'd be very excited to see this fixed and actually notice the difference in my mining yield rate.
The addition of at least a Standard Mining Drone blueprint thorough pirate drop would also be a big deal for the market, but that is probably something that should be left for another time.

I cannot acknowledge that the mining time decreases with higher skill.
I mined scor, letting the drones mine pyro, and with mining drone skill 1 or 2, the drones delivered EXACTLY the same amount of Ore/hour.
test situation: jumping to a belt by bookmark, imidiate stop, targeting pyro roid, start drones, targeting scor roid, start laser.
finished when 60000 scor where mined.

Yes, I discovered the same as Mindbender pointed out. I have forwarded the bug report I have on it to the relevant game designer.

Lick: According to Fortrock's post above, even if the skill description needs to be fixed to show mining speed is enhanced, the speed in fact is not faster. Could you please have them investigate whether or not the mining speed is in fact working properly as the skill level climbs? Thanks

Has anyone else noticed whether or not the time it takes to mine 1 load of ore via drones actually decreases as they raised their Mining Drone skill? Looking for other testimonies concerning whether this is indeed working properly.

Yeh i noticed that the better you get in some skills the worse the advantages.
Mining drone speed/quantity..? if its faster then surely its quantity i higher.. or do they just fly about faster.. lol what an advantage that'd be...

Hrmm...I guess what I mean is... I know the intention is that they MINE in less time, or so it has been said, but my question is ARE THEY ACTUALLY DOING IT? or are they still taking a 60 second cycle before dumping their standard quantity of ore?
