If your gonna ask about this in the forums (not exactly the best place as illustrated in the post above) you should talk about your goals and what you want to be doing in the future. For instance, do you want to go to 0.0, mining, a mix of pvp and missions, incursions, etc.. -------------------------------------------------
Don't debate with morons. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience. |

If you're looking for people to explain how things work, there are a couple training corps you could apply to (Eve University is one). If you have specific individual questions you can ask them in this forum. If you just want someone to hang out with try the corp recruiting forum. ---

Don't bother. Go find another game. You'll be happier.

The above answer was the truth.
In this game you are supposed to find goals and methods to reach them yourself. If you cannot manage that, try a easy railroad game like WoW or Hello Kitty. _______________________ The best thing in EvE is Barrage M. |

Ok, usually I love to rip on the new people but I'm a wee little drunk so I'm going to give some good advice for a change. There are a few good mentoring programs in Eve, Eve University being the only one I remember. Contact them and ask for help

I for one would love to be able to walk on stations and fly spaceships in the body of a little cute catgirl!

Perhaps "mentoring" was the wrong word.
I come from Asherons Call, which is very sandbox.
I have no problem finding things to do, but it is much more fun to run with someone.

There's the official channel Adoptions in game. From what I understand it's meant to be what you're looking for.
I also know a channel Mentors, but last time I checked it seemed not that active anymore. Another one (more specialized) would be HelpMyMission.
There's probably hundreds of channels in game for socializing and teaming up on things. I suggest keeping your eyes open and reading pilots biographies now and then while warping through systems or having idle times otherwise.
