Yes, finally this unnecessary and rather useless change makes sense. It was the first step to charge players for extra save slots. Shame on CCP for this.

I couldn't understand why we had no response to this simple and easy to fix issue...
I even asked this question in the 'ask a dev' thread and expected this simple question to be picked early as low hanging fruit....
Little did I know they were considering selling us back this functionality we once had for free for MT (that's Macro transactions btw)
I request people sign this petition, and tell CCP what we think about this idea...
WITHOUT using crude obscenities please....
I would like to keep the moral high ground.

Is there really that many guys that can fly enough ships to need more than 50 fittings saved, without being able to memorize their standard fits for alot of them? I mean you tend to end up running a simmilar philosophy about most of your ships fittings.
On the other hand, why put a limit on local storage. Guess I support this.
edit: and to be fair, the thing about selling more fitting slots was on the page dedicated to YES!/NO!, where 2 devs discussed their own oppinions and ideas.

I haven't reached the server-side limit of 50 fittings yet, but only because I'm too damn lazy to import my hundred fittings from EFT.
I can understand the frustration this is causing people.

Completely support this.
I also think it's completely pathetic of some devs to think they can sell extra fitting space. if you want us to pay money then give us something of value worth paying above our subscriptions, not for cheap back handed limitations.

Welp I've already run out of fittings even after basically starting from scratch back in May.
And yes anyone who PVP's with any regularity in anything resembling a variety of ships will easily blow past 50 fittings.
Also the advantage of the fitting tool isn't to save your fittings of course we have eft for that. It's to make it easier to fit as well as share various fits about.
Say I'm out doing my RVB thing and I just blew up my last Punisher, All I had to do is assemble a fresh hull activate it browse to the fitting I want and click fit. A few seconds later I'd either have a fit ship or a partially fit ship with a list of what items were missing. Fill in the missing slots group guns add ammo and off to the races.
No digging through your inventory looking for that module you needed no trying to figure out which item was missing so you could buy another. Just quick fit and go.
It was particularly handy for funky fits that I'd only use occasionally but really wanted avalable when they were appropriate.
Oh and to add insult to injury they removed the ability of the fitting tool to fit friggin rigs which means now even for the 50 fits it will let me have I now have to hunt down the rigs and fit them manually. WTF is up with that BS?
Like I said I'm already at 50 fittings (and had to delete a few to get a couple new fits I wanted) and I'm about to add the T2 Gal cruiser line up in 11 days then 16 days after that it will be Amarr then Caldari (ok only going to have one fit from that one).
I can fly 138 ships already and will soon add another 21, many of which it would be handy to have multiple fits for different purposes available.
Raises my blood pressure every time I think of this bull****.
WHERE THE HELL IS CCP ON THIS?

oh hell no this thing needs some attention.
Come on CCP some recognition,
Hell how about you go ahead and add unlimited fitting slots to the nex store for 1000 arum since we know you were planning on doing putting it into the Nex store anyway.
