The LP reward is possibly a little bit low, but the 22m ISK in bounties makes up for that

did this mission just now after getting it for first time....
took me about as long as pirate extravaganza.
first area had about 9.5mil bounty total including 6 bs's.
2nd area another 6 bs's with slightly less amount of cruisers than first area.
3rd area had the named general, 2.5mil bounty, 5 sentry iii's, which only fired if u fired at them, and only 1 responded at a time.
so shoot 1 sentry, and only that sentry would return fire, but, so would the npc's. but not the other sentries.
very nice looking battlestation also :P mine was a sansha deadspace mission.
the loot was ok, but not great, and even then only half the npc's dropped a can.
expect some lag, when u warp in u warp into middle of dust fields, with 35 odd ships around, and with multiple large roids around u aswell as large collidable objects.
1st area had no immediate aggro until i opened fire, and then u can still engage one group at a time.
2nd area had 1 group aggro at me when i arrived, including a 1mil BS.
rest can engage group by group.
expect to use a fair bit of ammo, as 13-14 total bs's to kill, sentries, 25-30 cruisers total, and about 8-10frigs.
and the battlestation takes quite a while :/ cs:source sos-s33k3r diaspora: s33k3r, hexxeh always do right. this will gratify some people, and astonish the rest.
Trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again! |

I wonder if the gurista is as tough? my agent offered: The following rewards and bonuses will be yours if you complete this mission: 138000 credits. two hundred Tesseract Capacitor Units will be awarded to you as a bonus if you complete the mission within 45 minutes. 317 Loyalty Points.
This IS a lvl4... Anyone done the gurista version of this mission?

weird, i get the same mission as lvl4 with Mordus as target, easy to do tbh.
Only 5bs at the first stage and around 30cruiser, split up in 4 groups. Second stage has soem 1.5mil raven and 2 cruiser and 4 sentries.... easy..
but deadsapce so slightly boring |

time is avaraged now, so expect the time to finish and get the bonus to go up. This prolly is a new mission and starts with default 45 mins.
It took me over 4 hours to complete, 20 mill bounty and a lot of basics/wcs (i think one of the 18 or so BS actually droped a BS item)
Anyway easy to do if you tank for the damage and guess what, gonne do it tomorrow again.

I just did the L4 version with Guristas about 30 minutes ago.
The beginning stage sucked, I'd advise doing it in a ship ubertanked for Kinetic and Thermal. The main problem stems from all of the fog, asteroids and other eye candy kicking your FPS in the kiester, and then having problems finding a stellar object to align to in all the mess.
I did it with a Raven, but I'm still experimenting with hardeners.
I've done missions with 2X Kinetic and 2X Thermal, for this mission I tried 3X Kinetic and 1X Thermal. The cruisers/support ships ate me alive with the rails, but the Battleships were exceptionally easy running 3X Kinetic Hardeners.
The station at the end (just blew it up for the pretty explosion) has over a million HP at least, took me and another Raven spamming juggernaut torps for about 30 minutes before it blew.
Great isk grinding mission, once you get past the panic that is the first stage.
Also, the separate little task forces don't aggro if you don't lock or shoot them. Just kill a group, reload and recharge, then go after another.
I'd advise trying to move off and gain some distance before you start engaging anything, and you can usually creep away without getting owned too badly.
Also, some of the NPC's seem to be targetting drones.
A corpmate and I went into a spawn and after I was locked by everyone, I realized about 30 seconds later I only had one wasp left.

Edited by: Mankind mkII on 09/02/2005 02:11:11 done this mission level 4 serp twice now solo in a raven 1st i found it quiet hard 2nd time it was a easy just remeber distance and only fight 1 group at a time
Havent done within 45 minutes though think thats pretty much impossible unless in a group of 3+ bs but the bountys sure make up for the bonus anyway

I got this mission twice in a row. I completed it twice in a row.
The only problem I've had is that I don't have the space to bring all the torpedoes I need to kill everything. ;) ---------------

Got this from a low quality lv 4 agent, saw the reward, and figured, hey, it can't be that hard.
Later, I went to Heimatar to buy a new BS.

I'm doing my first centus version of this mission for the third time? What on earth does he mean i hear you cry. Let me explain.
Last night I completed the first level and had killed everything on the second level bar 1 bs well into hull, when my service provider (god bless Elisa ) decided to fubar thier routers. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I cried and tried to log back in, many many times. After two hours i gave up and went to bed.
This morning I logged back in at 9 gmt and sure enough everythings respawned. Back to killing i go. Second time round easier than the first cos now i know what to expect. Some ok bs loot mostly not.
I complete gate 1 and 2 and warp into the final stage with 5 minutes remaining before downtime. OHHHH GOD NOOOOOOOOO.
Now if i'm correct everything respawns after dt, so i've got to go through this all again. Damn my (dis)service provider.
I'm flying an apoc and i've found the following make this mission a lot easier.
Tank for the type of rats you are expecting. EM and thermal in my case. Put the maximum possible distance between you and the rats when you warp in to the gates. They dont seem to aggro till you fire.
once at your max firing range pick one of the groups and let one of the members have everything. Note who starts flashing yellow or red and target them as well. KILLEMALL!!!, then repeat with the next group.
L3 looks quite nice with a 2.5 mill rat, some small webbers and quite a few tachyon towers. Cant tell you how to fight this cos thats where I met down time. :)
Doable solo in a BS but will take time to kill and collect
The bonus time of 45 minutes should be doable as a group, or as a single if you dont collect cans. Me? I'm about 12 hours outside of the bonus time now :)
Roids are a Menece I tell you, hunt then down I say, hunt them down!!

Did the sansha version, was fairly okay in an apoc, the only hairly part was when 4 tyrants all aggroed on me when I jumped to the second stage, loot was only worth refining until I blew the sansha battletower, which is a very funky station, and I got a partial hull conversion from it.

Not anymore... used to be you could blow up Bunkers and Armouries and get some loot. Not great, but logical for the building type.
Now they drop... *nothing*. Someone must have cried to the Devs, saying all the pretty carebears were getting too much guud luut from Empire missions. Now you get excrement.
Blowing up every building will show you which have drops... same ones every time, but seldom crap all worth chugging after.

I was about to start my lvl4 career last night and was offered this as my very first mission. Didn't take it because it was so late and didn't have money for insuring my Raven.
Now I see market has been fruitful during night with 260M isk. So I now have money for insurance and time (after work) for this mission.
Question is about shield hardeners for Guristas version of this mission. Should I fit 1+2 or 2+1 thermal and kinetic? Have only three hardeners because I'd like to fit AB too.

My own personal view is to ditch the AB. Hardeners are your best chance of survival in this. For Guristas I would probably use two thermal and two kinetic, but you might even want to consider three kinetics and one thermal.
Good luck.

Yep i got the Angel Version last night on retuirning from the pub didnt look too hard from the rewards and timing of the bonus. So in i warped thinking quick mission before bed. Some 2 hours later i sent my loot collector onto the 2nd level only for him to be instantly locked and blown up by 2 Gisti Domination BS 3 Cruisers and a Frig.
So im waiting to finish this tonight when ive repaired my Raven from the first level. I bumped into 3 Gist Warlords apparently that was enough to get the to agress on me on the first level. Not good at point blank range while stuck on a roid.

Did this one 2 days ago, in a raven with 2 thermal 1 kinetic (~60 resist to all but EM) an XL booster and a boost amp + named AB (essential!)
First try at first stage was almost a complete disaster. You warp right into the middle of all the groups, so there is no clear safe direction to head in. Took out the webbers immediately and thought I was OK to ignore the other very small frigates and start on the cruisers that were doing the real damage from there on. Shields eventually went down and decided to run and 'heal, but couldn't. Turns out all the small frigates web/scramble and had to take them out before I could run with next to no armor left.
Eventually went back and did it.
Before you jump in, find a star gate more or less behind you (the direction the warp-in gate points FROM) and set the system it leads to as your destination. Once you warp into deadspace immediate about-turn toward that gate and run with AB going whether or not that takes you through a group of rats or not (whichever way you go you're gonna be heading toward some rats). That group will agro on you but with AB running you can actually run through them and begin to outpace them going away toward the 'outside'. This is the critical time and you will have to boost your shields while you tank the run (firing all the time, naturally). Once you get 'outside, you're all set. All their guns seem to be short range, so they start missing pretty quickly. Take out every single last frigate immediately (while running). Then if you get into trouble just hit autopilot (is a LOT quicker than trying to double click on some object to warp toward it) to instantly leave. Kill the first group that you ran through and chased you. Then come back and pull one of the other groups. You are now 'outside' and reasonably safe as long as you don't make any dumb mistakes. Rinse and repeat. Do same at second stage, setting destination for whatever system the new gate points from (so you about face on warping in and run toward that gate).
As it turns out, I never had to run again. Shields never got below 40% at any time. Wraths for the frigates and cruisers, jugger torps for the BS's
