Boosters: I'm gonna make a single booster with a description and attributes.
Description: 'The gator-aid booster has been known by junkies throughout blablabla and is not allowed in such regions as Genesis and Metropolis (Contraband). The booster offers 7 days of 150% speed of training, the down-side however is that for 7 days afterwards you go into the 'hangover' state and train at 50%. If a this kind of booster is applied once in 'hangover' you will train at normal speed for 7 days, this is what gets you addicted to it.'
The booster would cost some millions and would be excellent for those who just want to finish that last skill, so they can fly their interceptor/bs/AC or whatever. And for those that can't handle the slow training would thus become junkies and keep injecting these to themselves. You could not train with other characters if one of your character is in 'hangover' mode. The 'hangover' mode would keep on the character if your account runs out, thus when you start playing again you'll start in a 'hangover'.
Attributes: Boost: 50% Time: 7days Booster slot: 1 Chance of overdose: 0.73%
Overdose would be a side-effect which would occur sometime when 'high' and cause you to die and wake up at your medical station as a clone.
These could too be used to increase attributes, by like 7 points or something insane.
If podded while in hangover your clone will get the hangover, if in 'high' mode it will not.
Thoughts?

Given the stats you have here, no one would use it. At best, you would get 1 week of 1.5 times speed, then have to spend isk for the rest of your life to benifit from that week (the penalty week cancels out the good week).
Plus the downside of the "overdose" is extreem. You lose implants, and still have to pay for the penalty. Exactly how did your clone get the affects of the boosters?

I'd use it to train for an assault cruiser

this would also be good because it could allow newer players to still fly the ships that take ages to train for, just less skillfully. ____________________________ Waiting to cut out the deadwood. Waiting to clean up the city. Waiting to follow the worms. |

what you have to remember is these wont/shouldnt be uber skill training things with no down side i think what was put in the origonal post was a great idea brilliant for thos who want a skill for the weekends but can handle not training as fast after and those who have the isk to keep taking them have to have some kind of risk as with any drug

One of the biggest flaws in the game is that people who have been playing like a month can fly a BS, and more to the point think they know what they are doing :P

I don't know about you, but don't you just love it when you "Show Info" on that Raven at the gate and find out it's a pilot that's 2 months old? ----------------------------

It takes monthes to fly a BS effectively, even a Raven, not even talking about combat experience. Some people buy a BS and fit it with heavy launchers to do low level missions. Is it an exploit ? Does it bother anyone ? Certainly not me.
The more skilled pilots Eve has, the more living in 0.0 is interesting. More people, more challenge.
I like the idea of the original poster. In fact I like all ideas that could reduce the boredom of training and allow more people to call 0.0 their home.

You do what?
I hardly ever post, but someone has to set your straight darling.
When a battleship jumps in, then you dont bother to do a show info. You lock them and kill them. ( unless your corp forces you to do a show info, then you should leave the corp)
This is not a hijack
