Hey,
I'm having my eyes on some Netbooks to play EVE on while at work. Since EVE would theoretically be easily playable on modern Netbooks, one question remains: Will EVE support resolutions like 1024x600 or 1280x720?
The minimum resolution EVE supports seems to be 1024x768, which would be too high for a Netbook screen. I don't want my screen to burst because the GPU tries to squeeze in more pixels than the screen has.

Back when I got my Asus 901 (and the old gfx engine was still there) I did have eve running on it (albeit slowly). It worked fine but the bottom of the UI wasn't visible.... I managed to undock by setting the 'exit station' keyboard shortcut iirc.

I run EVE off my 1280x800 laptop, it works fine, and with windowed mode all buttons etc resize nicely to fit the window.

Yeah just realized that... I will try with my 600px laptop when I get time... although maybe it's just as easy as trying to resize it to that size...
and resize is a no-no, so maybe it won't allow you to maximize it on the 600px...

That would be sweet. 
Yeah tried it here on my 22" screen, it wouldn't let me decrease the size any further. Was just thinking that EVE would probably behave a little different though if you forced it into a smaller resolution via fullscreen.

The game will run at 1024x600. The bar to the left gets shrunk, allowing the game to run. It's hard to play at such low resolutions, though.

on older netbooks like the acer aspire one a150L it wont work anymore so great than in the apocrypha expansion. its only good for hauling or mining.

Last time I checked it worked on my Eee 1000H (WSVGA, 1024x600) in fullscreen mode. Worked meaning: I could access all options, slowly but eventually. Mining in HiSec was possible.
I fear tho that the GPU won't be able to handle Incarna.

if you wanna something small without a built-in screen... grab a Nettop the first models and newer models have an Nvidia ION chip that will run eve on medium settings with a cost of a netbook (150-200 euro) (example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MSqmog3SN8&feature=related)

Thanks, that is what I needed to know.
Had no doubt EVE would run on ION/HD4250 graphics anyway.
