Always interesting to understand why people leave corps.. So a bit of market research i guess.
So why did you leave your last corp?

you know, if you're the only one in your corp, how do you expect anyone else to log in?

The two main reasons why I ever left a corp:
1. High sec war are boring. 2. No one was online.

All the above are the most common reasons why people leave. Even more common is the feeling that there is a lack of emotional connection to other members of the corp. Most often there will be a core group. The goals of the corporation are set by this core and everyone else is just along for the ride. People whom are allowed to feel like recruited rank and file members will move to a better opportunity without hesitation.
Usually the better situation is a communication server with friendly voices and potentially engaging good times with a group of smart players who don't take themselves or this game too seriously

My corp got disbanded due to some mixture of things from the 0.0 alliance it was in. Some blame it on ME leadership, few blame it on PL harassing us too many times, the rest of us just wanted more fun and less work (so they moved to another 0.0 alliance). But me, I left 0.0 altogether and rejoined high-sec because I wanted to be a free bird. No obligations to anyone or anybody, no sharing of resources (everything I worked for is now mine forever), and no more dealing with wardecs.
Of course, 0.0 taught me great lessons about how to be on my own and to not trust anyone unless you know them personally.

Dingbat approaches npc wreck of mine in hi sec, goes red, docks. Next day i apply to his corp, accepted within the hour. Locator agent activated, camp station. Dingbat in corp chat "Didn't i see you a few days ago in Stacmon?" "Noooooo..."
Dingbat undocks in frigate. Recieves hail of projectiles. CEO logs on, "Why am i looking at a corp kill?" Turns out dingbat actually had no cargo space for the loot of mine but still got aggro. Lucky for him he wasn't moving all his faction stuffs in a hauler that day. For some reason i am booted from the corp?!?
THIS IS HOW CORPS EXCLUDE DRIVE AND INITIATIVE FROM THEIR RANKS.

Went on a hiatus of extended length and didn't want to be yet another member that never logs in. So I said my farewells and left on good terms, I think.
Still not sure if I really start playing again, CCP hasn't implemented much since then that would interest me much. --------

Edited by: Darius Brinn on 27/04/2011 08:16:21 We were renters of a big alliance. We were constantly yelled at to fulfill "our part of the deal", which not only included money, but also constant patrolling of the pipe leading to the 0.0 region.
All I ever did was camping the same gate, again and again and again, like a lemming, because "I was told so".. Human resources were so terrible that we had multiple spies 100% of the time, so we never really got any kills with those camps.
This was fine with the renting alliance, but boring, so I dismantled my PI stuff, waited a couple of days until I could sell the stuff I had inside, said goodbye and left the area and then quit the corp.
A month later, the corp and its alliance were thrown away by their hosts, tried to get new space, failed, and eventually failcascaded and dissapeared.

The corp slowly morphed from an open and 'all in it together' place to having an inner clique with secretive decision making. We used to have some great joint ops, mining, raiding, ratting etc. All that suddenly stopped, we later found out they had set up secret POS's with a shadow corp and were off doing their own thing.
When challenged about it, the Directors said that a few corp members were not trustworthy, so they changed their approach to everyone. That ruined it for the rest of us, most non-directors eventually left and tbh I think the Directors wanted it that way.

First time i left a corp was because the corp had changed, when newer members were more interestrd in running lucrative lvl 4 missions, instead of industry, we used to have 20men mining ops several times a week in the end i was lucky to have 2 other people in my mining ops
second time i made a mistake by joining a corp with mainly members living in another time zone and found my self usually alone in corp chat ________________________________________ Minmatar are like jedi knights, we use ductape as our force, it has a darkside and a sticky side
