Hardin	Posted - 2005.02.09 02:18:00 - [1] A couple of weeks ago 'someone' hired The Corporation to attack the CVA. We had a fun weeks war. The Corporation are good pilots, didn't smack and it was an generally enjoyable fight... When the war was declared (which came out of the blue for the CVA) a variety of rumours came to us that Xetic had paid them. There was no evidence of this and quite frankly it seemed a ridiculous idea. We had just declared on Legi0n so we actually believed that Legi0n had paid TC to attack us. Anyway after a week our war with TC ended. Shortly after we heard that TC had gone off to fight FoE and that FoE has been told that it was the CVA which had hired TC to attack them. That is CATEGORICALLY untrue. The CVA has NEVER in its history used merc corps and we have no intention of starting now. I don't know what is going on with The Corporation or who is paying for their wars (or whether they are just doing it for their own reasons) but I get the distinct feeling they are being used to stir up emnity between alliances... Basically people need to stop listening to rumours. If you want to know what CVA is doing or not doing talk directly to us and get the truth...
Halseth Durn	Posted - 2005.02.09 02:31:00 - [2] Hardin, It sounds to me like someone really doesn't like the CVA and is not only hiring mercs, but spreading rumors to engage the CVA in as many wars as it can while discrediting your fine organization at the same time. I wouldnt give it too much worry. Most of eve know what CVA are don't pay those rumors much interest. Oberon-Inc FEAR MY EMOTICONS

As with our previous war, it remains our policy not to reveal the identity of our employer, unless our employer wishes for us to do so. The Corporation has no self interest in the reasons behind this, or our previous, war and are thus uninterested in spreading false rumours on behalf of our employer. We will not accept falsehood to be part of contracts, either. It is my firm belief that the rumour of Curatores Veritas Alliance paying for this war stems from within the Force of Evil, as to a missunderstanding of our biography information channel where we list our current contract (target). Again I will stress that we do not reveal our client. To date CVA, and Pie especially, has been our most honourable and enjoyable adversaries, and we deeply respect them. -- If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please.
