in before people argue that ginger hair and redhair are the same thing.
They are not.
Ginger is orange/rust color named after the spice.
Red is red, like the blood on your shirt after a redhead punches your lights out after calling them ginger.

My girlfriend is an Irish-Jew ginger... but she's also a vegetarian so she can suck the fun out of anything 
Also the Irish seem to have no working knowledge of genetics... the ginger gene is recessive so unless both parents have red hair there is 0% chance the kid will have ginger hair. It's kid might though

Err...it seems you don't understand genetics either.
Two dark-haired parents can both carry a RECESSIVE gene and not know it. If so, each child would have a 25% chance of being ginger.
