Here is the scenario:
You are starting missions for a new corporation. You are starting with 0 standings.
However, you have a relatively high faction standings (you can run all lvl 3 agents, but not quite lvl 4)
(4.74 is what I'm starting with on my faction standings, 0 with said corporation)
What is the fastest way to get to lvl 4 missions with this new corp?
My initial thought, was to just run lvl 3 courier missions, get storylines, and increase faction and corp standings at the same time. However, there are no courier mission agents for this corp.
My new question is...
Is it faster to run lvl 3 combat missions and grind the storylines that way, slowly moving both up...
Or is it faster to run lvl 3 courier missions for a different corp, of the same faction, and grind storylines that way to increase faction standing?

In that link is a graph listing the percentage of mission types offered by different Agent Divisions within NPC Corporations. Run missions for the Agent that gives the highest percentage of Courier missions in the Corporation you want standing with.
Faction Standing Repair Plan is the fastest way to raise positive Faction standings as well as repair negative Faction standings. It can be worked with one specific Empire Faction or with all Empire Factions.

Option 3.
Make friends with someone already running missions for that agent, and fleet up with them while helpding them grind the missios faster. You'll quickly have enough AGENT standings to run your missions solo while gaining LP and standings with the corp in question. That way you don't waste any time because you're already working towards whatever your goals are.
//EDIT: Although the fastest method would be the one pointed out in the post already... but you choose to ignore his advice, so... meh?

I read your post but you failed to understand my reply.
All Agents give a percentage of courier missions, some Divisions will offer a higher percentage than others. Just have to check which Agents and Divisions are available to you within that Corporation.
As for raising Faction standings, all Event Agents listed in the 'Plan' will give Faction standing increase for completing their missions. Having high Faction standing allows access to all Agents in all Corporations within that specific Faction.

I find if you want to blitz missions for faction standings courier missions are best. If you just want to get a higher corp standing nothing beats blitzing combat missions for a corp.

There is another route: if your faction standings are already kinda ok (like 4.0 or 5.0 with skills) you could choose to go directly for faction standings by doing the Cosmos missions, this will get you really fast to 7.0 faction standings (with skills) which in turn gives you access to all agents of any corporation of that faction.
If you're close but not over 7.0 yet after doing the cosmos missions then consider buying some faction standings with tags by doing Data center missions. Choose the ones that give the best return because some tags are really expensive.
This is by far the fastest way to unlock lvl 4 agents for any corp. |
